Rainbow Furniture — Local services in Fort Wayne

From Rainbow, we have purchased the following for one house: a king headboard and foot board, a queen headboard and foot board, a king mattress and box springs, a recliner, an end table, a queen sofa and a large chest to match the king bed set. For another house, we purchased a sofa, a matching upholstered chair and a wing back chair with wooden legs and arms. All pieces are of excellent, heirloom, quality. They go nicely with the other furniture in the houses, antiques that have been in the family for 80-100+ years. The pieces from Rainbow were purchased over a period of 5 years. We are thinking about purchasing another end table and wing back chair and if we do, we will go to Rainbow. I have impressed with the knowledge of Tim about the furniture in his store, his ability to assess what would go well together and his willingness to spend time, helping us to decide. I was especially impressed when, in January, he helped to select the fabric for the recliner. Tim suggested a certain color and type of fabric for the recliner - basing his suggestion upon a cell phone photo of the floral rug already in the house and his recollection of what the sofa (purchased 4 years before) looked like. Let me start out by saying there is a lot of nice furniture at this store. However, me and my wife found a couch and chair that we loved and when we asked about fabric the sales man told us that one of the ones we liked was a very durable and good fabric. That was not the case at all! There could not have been a worse fabric to cover furniture in. And the icing on the cake is he told us there would be cleaning supplies for the life of the furniture. Very nice and clean store and lovely furniture. What a hidden Gem in Fort Wayne near times corners. Uhaul on site too is a bonus. The gentleman that works there came immediately to help me and my 84 year old dad to find a lift chair for my dear mom who is in a nursing home and unfortunately didn't have any in stock. I would absolutely go there to buy furniture in the future. Kudos to them with a small town feel in the world of big box stores. I'm of the firm mind to buy local and keep it local.
