Golden Moon Nail spa — Local services in Fort Worth

Visited Golden Moon nail spa today, it was my first time there, I have a Grand opening at my job and needed to get my nails done, as I usually do not go to get my nails done, I wanted to for this event, and to find a place I can come to on the regular too keep them up for my job. The manager asked one of the employees to do my names, you could see her hesitation as if she didn't want to do it, she was not very welcoming and it was mostly silence, besides the other 50% of the time she was on the phone, as she was finishing up my nails, and putting on the clear coat, I pointed out that some of my nails weren't fully covered with polish, I asked her could she fix them, she applied more, then told me to sit and let them dry for 10 min, I wasn't given anything to help with the drying process, not even a fan. She walked off. My nails looked bad, I had gotten white and I had nail polish on my cuticles and still had parts of my nails with no polish, I asked for a manager. I showed the manager and she said she would fix them and clean them up, I also still had the dust from the acrylic around and under my nails also, she does I guess what she could to clean then up, and then took out nail paint to fill in the spots that wasn't covered, the nail point was white but a different color from the white of the polish, so it is visible that it was filled in. After she finished, my nails still did not look good, still acrylic dust, still polish on my cuticles, she takes me to pay, I asked her would she feel comfortable if I posted my nails under a review, her response was come Thursday and talk to the owner and processed my payment, she knew they looked bad also but still took my payment, I was very upset but I just walked out. I didn't even get oil or lotion, and then as I looked closer even the tips of my nail didn't have polish, they are already chipping. Horrible experience I had and a really hate I picked that spot to get my nails done. It was nobody sitting in there getting their nails done when I walked in and that should of been a sign. I came in on a Thursday around 4pm on 07/13/23 & got the Golden Moon Volcano Pedicure by Nam & she did a wonderful job I was really relaxed & enjoyed my Pedicure it was a real treat the only thing that day is I had to ask for something to drink instead of being offered a drink but no big deal I ended up getting white wine because she said they didn't have a blush but after I was paying I noticed they have margarita's, daiquiris, & much much more that wasn't offered when I ask what all they had. The next day I came in for a Manicure since the Pedicure went so well so I got the Golden Moon Volcano Manicure by Nam once again since I made an appointment this time & once again it was Awesome. While getting my Manicure I noticed a lady with blush wine in which I had ask for the day before & she said they didn't have that but no big deal & I wasn't offered anything to drink once again but with her doing my hands I couldn't have drank anything really. Nam did a wonderful job on the massage & the whole Manicure so I was pleased & the only reason I'm writing this review with 4 stars is because when I went to pay the Manicure was $45 & the lady at the register said that will be $65 because I got gel polish & when I looked at the menu it said there is an additional charge of $20 for gel polish for Pedicures but didn't mention anything under Manicures & that wasn't including a tip so I was a little shocked & the lady at the register said they just forgot to put it on the menu but it's $20 extra for each the Pedicure & Manicure so I just wanted people to be aware that their menu is misleading. I knew gel polish was extra but not $20 extra. My Pedicure was $70 (used regular polish) & the Manicure was $65 (with gel polish) then a $10 tip for each day because Nam did a great job both days but that was the most I've ever spent on a Pedicure & Manicure & after all that being said I will probably come back but skip the most expensive Pedicure/Manicure or at the the Manicure because I usually get gel polish. If I could give them 0 stars I would , I came here 3/25/2023 and the first woman who started my nails couldn’t give me the look or the coffin shape that I wanted so she rudely got up and told me Amy to come do my nails. Amy seemed to be a nice person but only for her to rush threw my nails and while the service was going she told me they don’t do FULL NAIL RE-FILLS they only re-fill your nails at the top…I’ve been getting my nails done for almost 20 years and I’ve never had a nail salon shop give me a partial re-fill only at the Top part of my nails. I thought to myself these nails are going to break easily because there’s no acrylic on the whole nail to keep the nail bed hard enough to Sustain day to day activities and sure enough since then I’ve had 3 nails break in 48 hours in the picture below you only see 2 nails because I had to go back there yesterday and have Amy fix 1 of the nails and now today 2 nails have broken. The lack of professionalism and the lack of skills or respect for costumers hard earned money to be wasted like this blows my mind I would say if your any person or “color” I suggest you go somewhere else I honestly feel they are racist and simply did not care or want to do my nails correctly in the first place!
