Dr Kazmi gets offended when you ask questions about a procedure, and he will become aggressive if he makes a mistake. He made a crown that was so oversized that I couldn't close my teeth. My jaw was literally at a 30 degree angle in the first xray. He ground away at it for over an hour, then tried to insist it was fine. It was still not correct. He and his staff seemed eager to leave for the day, so I agreed to leave and return the next morning if it still didn't feel right. When I returned the next morning, he was clearly irritated, and deliberately making me wait. When I said to one of his assistants that I needed the work to be completed, that I had already missed too much work, he came to the door of the room and loudly accused me of yelling at his assistant. This resulted in most of his staff coming to the door of the room. Trust me, this was his goal, to manipulate his staff into ganging up on a client. I was really caught off guard. I would never be rude to a dental assistant, and have never experienced anything like this. While I was cornered in a tiny room, he insisted that the crown was correct and that I was just imagining it was wrong because I must have anxiety, but he then said, "You made me drill away the anatomy of the crown," "You must have bitten into the mold wrong," and "It's not my fault that the AI gets it wrong sometimes." After finally agreeing to give me a refund so I could have it repaired by another dentist, he followed me to the waiting room, continuing to argue, and said loudly in front of everyone, "It's not my fault that you didn't take care of your teeth."
I won't say that he's completely incompetent, but if he makes a mistake, you should expect hostility and abusive behavior from him. Based on my experience, the other reviews, and conversations in a neighborhood group, this is common behavior for him. He seems to have issues with, and is especially hostile toward women.
He attacks everyone that leaves negative reviews, which speaks for itself.
I should add that at one of my first appointments for a cleaning, they had a dentist fill in that wore her mask below her nose, so her bare nose was hanging over my open mouth. She was also crass and rude, and repeatedly kneed me in the head as she worked.
This was not about cost or insurance for me. I chose a neighborhood dentist without heeding the reviews. Beware.
His assistant cemented the crown. I donāt believe...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreProbably the worst dentist experience Iāve ever had. For one they overprice their services that you donāt even fully receive. I made an appointment with them to get cleaning done but since I was a new patient they needed x-rays. Well I paid upfront for full service, Well got x-rays done and they said I was all done. I said what about my cleaning and the lady looked at my chart and said oh yeah you did have a cleaning scheduled. Well our hygienist is backed up so itāll be later today or you can come another day. I had other things to get done that day so I had to reschedule for 7:30 in the morning another day. they call me an hour before and tell me the hygienist is running late that I have to come in at 9:30⦠mind you I had to find a baby sitter this morning to be able to come in at 7:30am. I ask for refund, and they say the dentist will write me a check. Ummm , no I didnāt pay with check I paid with card, I donāt trust some dentist that canāt ever stay on schedule to write me a check when it was paid with card. I want it refunded back on my card. So now I will be keeping an eye on the bank to make sure I even get that refunded⦠didnāt sound like she knew what she was doing. They claimed I had a cavity and decay on one side of my mouth. I had went to get a different opinion because for the fills here they were WAY over priced. I went to a different dentist and he did better x-rays and also used some sort of software to show exactly what was going on with my teeth, turns out those werenāt even decay and cavities she claimed they were. This place doesnāt seem to have it together and seems chaotic and Iāve never experienced a dentist or dentist office like this. Worst experience with dentist Iāve ever had. I highly suggest getting second opinions, and finding other places that are more organized and professional and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been coming to Westcliff Family Dentistry for several years and have always been very pleased with the entire experience. The front office was always welcoming and friendly and the hygienists were personable and friendly. At todays 6 month cleaning, something was different. When I walked in I was greeted with āDo you have an appointment?ā The front office was cold, and made continued comments about the text message they sent yesterday and how I did not fill out the forms. Within 5 minutes of walking in I could feel my pulse rising and it was incredibly uncomfortable.
When checking out, I was told my husband has a balance, and they could not really explain to me where the balance was coming from. I asked, and was given a print out. I was told that it is from a claim for a visit from over a year ago, that was just reprocessed when the new office staff started in February.
After asking more questions it appears they have done an out with the old and in with the new, but the new leaves something to be desired. The old office manager was literally the reason why we kept coming back, because he was warm and friendly and made every appointment less stressful.
The dentist himself is very nice and I always feel like Iām in good hands, but youāre only as good as your front office. I will not stay with a provider if their front office is unprofessional.
