
BEWARE!! LADIES MUST READ!! WORST EXPERIENCE in the history of any at a salon! AND I FOUND SHE HAS BEEN OPERATING WITH AN EXPIRED COSMETOLOGY LICENSE SINCE MARCH 2017!! I had been going to the owner Lindsey for hair extensions, since Summer of 2016. Lindsey showed me Cinderella Hair, which is different from what I used, but I agreed to start services with this product, and did love them. ⢠ON JAN 1st, 2018, I texted her that I was ready for new extensions. ⢠ON JAN 3rd, 2018, she texted me back the price and stated verbatim āThey will arrive in 4 days or lessā and that her availability was Tuesday Jan 9th and Wednesday Jan 10th...both at 10am. I replied āOk perfect! Letās order! Iāll take Tuesday the 9th if you think theyāll be there by then!ā .. and she charged my credit card approx. $200 for the Cinderella extensions. ON MON JAN 8th, Lindsey texted me that there was a delay in shipping and they āshouldā be here the next day for my appointment, but lets reschedule just in case. I told her that I had only Friday of this week available, or if they wind up coming in on Tuesday, that I could come in the afternoon rather than our scheduled morning appointment. She texted back that tomorrow afternoon is perfect and to come around 3:30pm. ON TUES JAN 9th, I went to the later 3:30pm appt and she installed the extensions at the usual $65 per hour rate. That night I went home and noticed something was very different. They were very thin and stringy. ON WEDS JAN 10th, I texted Lindsey immediately at 8:40am letting her know itās strange that these are so stringy and thin, and asking can we order 2 more packs so that I can achieve the usual fullness. She agreed to order with my card. ON THURS JAN 11th, after being able to wash the extensions, I noticed a strange chemical smell coming from them, they were tangling and still super thin and stringy. I texted her immediately and told her since I noticed that my card has not been charged for the 2 additional packs to NOT place that order! I asked her if we could please reach out to the manufacturer Cinderella hair and see what was wrong. Maybe we got a defective package? ONLY then (after my 2nd time mentioning something wasnāt right) did she admit that she ordered from a different vendor. She stated that because mine were not due in by the appointment time, she decided to use a local vendor. I was very upset. I told her this is not acceptable, I would have never agreed to that. I asked her where my extensions were.. since they were just ālateā they had to have come in by now. She claimed that she returned them to Cinderella after installing this product and that these extensions from the local vendor cost the same. I requested a copy of the return receipt from MY ORDER of Cinderella hair, and a copy of the receipt of this hair. She did not produce either. I told her to make this right and weāll be cool. I wanted her to get my original order $200 of Cinderella hair back, remove these terrible cheap extensions she put in without me knowing, (and even after knowing Iāve been scammed I STILL offered to pay her for hourly installation cost despite this all being her fault). She agreed and set me up for removal of this hair and install of my hair on Tuesday January 16th. She said she blocked the whole day out for me to fix this and I can come anytime in the morning (earlier the better). Additionally she requested that I pay the $37 rush shipping fee to ensure they are delivered on time. Which I did. ON SUN JAN 14th: I received a text from Lindsey stating that she will not fix what sheās done, but she will remove the bad extensions and give me my original hair order to take to get redone elsewhere. Mortified and completely upset by this point .. I refused her offer to ātake them outā. ON TUES JAN 16th This was supposed to be my scheduled time for correction, I received a text that Lindsey had left the extensions on the back door for me to pick up. This is THE WORST possible way for a business owner to handle an upset client. Upset due to HER MISTAKE and denied a fix!...

Other salons I visited in the past charged a lot and encouraged me to cut my hair. The prices are very reasonable at Steel Magnolias and I wasn't made to feel bad about having long hair. Erica has been coloring my hair using the Balayage technique-it is gorgeous! I don't have harsh lines, my color looks natural and when I need a touch-up my roots don't show badly at all. Erica is great at teaching me how to style my hair so when I'm home my hair still looks like I just walked out of the salon. I've had so many compliments on my color and how healthy my hair looks since I became Erica's client years ago. Steel Magnolias is the ONLY salon I go to.
