If I could rate it a 0 I would.. The 2024 Christmas light show was a HUGE waste of time and money. Literally SO disorganized. They didn't have two different lines for people who had already bought tickets online and the people who didn't come ready with tickets. So everyone was jammed together like a freak show!! waited easily 3hrs just in line to get in... Most disappointing part was even after the long ass line people were CONSTANTLY stoping during the lights and it was so jammed up it took us another 1hr to go through the damn thing. People kept stopping and went 10mil below the speed limit. Just a horrific experience and will NEVER go back through that awful line. Another thing that happened was when we went to the booth to give the lady the bracelet pass, because of the car we were driving, the lady before even saying hi or how are you she said "if you try and go fast they WILL catch you and stop you ok? So don't try anything." literally singling us out. (My boyfriend drives a bright yellow and black Mazda rx8 it's a bright car it stands out and its loud cuz of the rotary engine) and we've never done anything wrong at PPIR for them to even say something like that to us and it isn't the first time they've done this to us... Super disappointed...
Read moreEvery event we attend at PPIR is always a blast! My family loves cars so we try and go for as many events as possible. This year, we went to Slush, their Halloween event, and this year we attended their magic of lights event. Our son LOVED the Halloween event. He got to walk around in his Chase costume from Paw Patrol, and he got to see some awesome decorations on the cars and got to see his first drift event! He loved every second of it! The magic of lights was very cool to see as well. He got his first picture with Santa, and he is a huge fan of Christmas lights, so he loved driving through all of them. I would recommend checking out their events when they happen! Tickets for their events are also cheaper than most events I've attended anywhere else. I've also got a friend from high school who participates in all the driving events as well, so it is always fun to go and support her. If you have the time, money, and energy to drive down, I would recommend! One last thing, buy tickets for events like Slush in advance. As the event gets closer, the price for the tickets go up. They are also cheaper...
Read moreI’d LOVE TO SHARE our experience. My sister and her fiancé are heavy in the Denver & Colorado Springs car community. So it seemed quite lovely and ideal to host their wedding at this incredible venue. However, after touring….we waited months to receive the quote and available dates. After multiple texts/email correspondence with Nick the Event Coordinator, we were met with lackluster options, even after we chose to comply to whatever dates “they” wished. Trying to make something work and put down a deposit I believe the words, “no deposit will matter, you’ll always be pushed because the lights need to be on”. How sad…to see the unprofessional and quite honestly, insincere approach the Pikes Peak International Raceway takes when booking and reserving their Events....
