Asian Market — Local services in Four Corners States

Asian Market and Nok, the restaurant inside, are hidden gems! The market side has a wide variety of items from countries all over Asia. What surprised me most were the niche items, like curry ramen, blueberry yogurt Pocky, and glutinous rice flour that aren’t always easy to find, even in major coastal cities with big Asian populations.

Nok is a tidy, clean restaurant adjacent to the market. It has a focused menu (not to big) with several dishes oriented towards American customers (General Tso’s chicken, Chow mein). However, the owners/chefs are Thai, so what shines most is the Thai food! My party ordered the Spicy Thai Green Salad with Beef and Glass Noodle Salad, and we were really surprised at how fresh and authentic they were. Both dishes were incredibly refreshing on a very hot day.

I recently stopped by because I really wanted some Padthai. I ordered the combination Padthai. NO CHICKEN! So get home and there's freakin chicken in it! So now I have to drive all the way back! AARRGGHHH. Once I get there the lady who is actually the cook said she didn't realize it said no chicken! I asked her but didn't you read the order? She told me it was routine so she just added it. And then she told me that when people start asking for this or that not to be included she tells them no service no food! I wasn't given a full refund because I ate the egg roll! I told her I had to eat something because I had a long drive back! Didn't care she messed up my order, no freakin compensation beside a partial refund! NEVER GOING HERE AGAIN! Second 1/9/23 Today I had green curry with shrimp, fried rice, and egg rolls. They are the only restaurant in town that takes off their tails on the shrimp before they put it in the curry. I absolutely love the flavor and the quality of food that I get for the money that I spend. They also have a cool little Market. I like the Thai tea and tapioca pearl pudding. Ellisema works her butt off and she's very knowledgeable about both sides of this establishment. Every time I go I always feel like I'm being transported somewhere else.
