Bowlin's Picacho Plaza — Local services in Four Corners States

My favorite rest stop! Friendly employees - even if you're just using the bathroom- they don't mind! They greet you with a HELLO and a smile! They have a "doggie poo" area away from the gas pumps and parking - safe for our little dogs. I love the store! Great fun stuff- everything from gag gifts and T-shirts to Mexican blankets and purses, windchimes.. figurines even beautiful jewelry. Or just grab a quick snack. I've done Christmas/birthday shopping there. There's a Subway inside... We can fill up our fountain sodas even if we don't eat there. The entire place is super clean... Bathrooms...store... Subway. We stop there Everytime we travel...

This place I can't tell if they are a gifts and souvenirs shop or to the convenience store gas up and eat up kind of joint. Even though it's right across from a state park it's use of the location is being all well taken in for the most they can get. Seemingly high price gas and food and trinkets. Eagle eye staff for those shop lifting folks. Everything under the name of the Arizona nick knack gift shop for sale. Some real others well you get my point. My car broke down in their parking lot and the staff were so friendly, guiding me through what to do since it was my first time needing a tow. They said it was fine for me to stay inside while I waited and even offered to hold onto my keys to give to my tow guy so I didn't have to leave them in the car or drive back later in the evening. They did exactly that and even called me to let me know. They were all very sweet and I appreciate how above and beyond they went to help me.
