We had a wonderful time on this sleigh ride. We did scenic and dinner ride (recommend over just scenic). We stopped 3x to give the horses a chance to catch their breathe (as a horse lover and rider i greatly appreciated that!) and we stopped at a yurt for dinner. The yurt is near a carpet for the kids where they bring them during the day during lessons if they get too cold or need a break. It was nice and warm with indoor heaters and the buffet was FANTASTIC. Exactly as described on their website.
The live music was great and we were all very happy with him and were singing and even dancing a little.
Please bring cash to tip everyone, people forget to that sometimes and everyone worked hard to give us a great experience. The views coming back of Breckenridge at night were gorgeous as well.
Jacob did a good job answering questions we had and sharing information about the mountain and pointing out Imperial chair’s peak spot.
Only thing I’d say is maybe be clearer about directions. The signage was clear to get to the general location but some people (us included) stayed in the parking lot near some horses we saw. Turns out you have to go onto the mountain itself which is where their red structure with Christmas lights is located. They are a concealed by the snow/trees/etc. we had a small issue as they could not find out reservation in the system but i showed my receipt and they had no problem accommodating us. Technology glitches happen!
We were very satisfied with the whole experience and recommend doing the first trip so you can see things in both daylight near sunset and also get...
Read moreCan i give No stars??? Do Not waste your time or money. I 1st booked just the ride for Dec 23rd. Then when the orders allowing dining i called and was told after some confusion that yes they would be offering the Ride Dinner combo. My reservations were changed and i was charged for 3 meals we did not get. The ride was ok nothing spectacular over the golf course in circles. Returned and the few ppl on the ride left. Only a couple of cars in the parking lot. The dining room was empty of tables and chairs just a big empty dark room. The bartender told us it was the 1st day back open and no 1 knew what was going on. Hot chocolate was not even made. So we left and i had to pay again to feed my family. I e-mailed and was told the Mgr said Hey was a great dinner with lots of ppl there also an Entertainer was there and it was a Great time! Omg are you kidding me thats Insanity. This place was completely deserted. They refuse to acknowledge the situation or refund my money but im welcome to come back for another try! Merry Christmas. Yall stole from my family...

This was the biggest waste of money !! Do not get taken by them. I live in Denver and have been on many rides like this and this was by far the worst! Trip day was freezing and they had some blankets available for use. They looked, felt and smelled like shop blankets - not real warm or comfortable in any way. I would have preferred a smelly horse blanket.
The sleigh ride consisted of about a 40 yard total ride over 2 ski runs on the mountain. This ride took a total of about 20 minutes. Only because the driver kept stopping to “ rest” the horse. I was more tired than the horse at that point. We could have walked the distance in less than 5 minutes. Then the “ gourmet food” that you have paid a premium for at Spencer’s on peak 9– is a nasty OLD buffet with None of the items listed on website ( filet, prime rib, etc) it was left over wedding food at best. Wait staff was non existent, confused and seemed honestly stoned- With NO children’s options. Much better option for sleigh...
