This tourist site was a pretty nice stop even though the overbrush in the area really blocks the scene of the canyon below. I really would like it if they trimmed it back a little bit. The trees and brush are a little too tall to really see the canyon and you don't want to get down in there too close to the canyon cuz the rocks are like a sliding factor. I would like it if they would clean up the path a lot better because if you get too close to that you could easily slide off and slide down into the canyon

I only took a free stop at the bathroom to take a picture of the sign, but the male and female bathrooms didn't have any overbearing odor coming from them. So that was a good thing. The pine trees that were on the hill actually had a nice fragrance and it was refreshing be out there at this location. There wasn't any trash laying around and it was a very clean sight. Even enough room for at least four semi trucks to be parked back to back with a nice easy exit from the highway and a nice easy enter to the highway. I just wish they had a higher lookout on top of this site like a viewing deck that stood above the location so you can actually get some nice pictures. It was a letdown because there's nothing high enough to get over the trees to see the beautiful landscape around you. So as far as no lookout goes, you basically have to get all the way down in the canyon to get pictures this site. I believe even though it looks good it needs another step up to make it next level. I would say a viewing deck from a concrete building. Two or three stories high on top of that Hill would make it an amazing sight to see. Maybe throw some binocular cameras or something like that out there because the wide open viewing area that you're missing. It's a bummer because you have a better view from the highway. Then you do the viewing area of devil's Canyon. I just wasn't very enthusiastic about it. It needs some upgrades to make it even better. They did a poor job at making it an awesome place to see. You can...

This is just another one of many great viewpoints/rest areas you will find in Utah along the I-70 Interstate. This is an easy on-off-loop rest area with ample parking and a standard vault toilet at the south end of the parking lot. What we enjoy most at these locations are the unexpected effect of the vast picturesque landscape of the canyon’s rugged beauty that will leave you breathless and make you itch to explore more. The drive along I-70 is stunning in so many places as the masterpiece of nature’s artwork suddenly unfolds before your eyes. This viewpoint is perched on the rim and offers an unparalleled panorama view of the canyons below. There are 3-4 interpretive displays covering the history of the area including the first humans, Native Americans and early settlers, along with the geological forces...

We stopped by at this view area in Utah on our way back to Colorado during a recent roadtrip. The canyon view was spectacular, and like some reviewers mentioned, it could be a bit too steep at some areas especially if you have small children with you.

The condition of the pit toilet wasn't too bad, but you really can't expect much from a pit toilet 😅

We were also surprised to find a few native American families selling beautiful handmade Navajo pottery and jewelry at this rest stop (we were there on a Thursday afternoon, not sure if they sell daily)! It's definitely handmade as we saw one elderly native American woman who was there, busy making a necklace. We're glad they accept credit cards because we didn't have enough cash with us lol. Brought home a cute vase and some...
