My daughter and I had a fantastic experience working with Tanner for the first time yesterday. It was a beginning class just for the two of us in his spacious, comfortable and light-filled studio, and it was a great kickoff to our adventures in pottery and learning how to throw using a potter's wheel. Tanner is an excellent teacher and such a kind, patient and appropriately paced instructor. His years of experience testing out different approaches, apprenticing with master teachers and working with students of all levels is evident. Today I had the pleasure of taking a private pottery lesson with Dr. T. I have been throwing on the wheel for 5 years, basically self-taught on YouTube.
