Heidrich's Colorado Tree Farm Nursery — Local services in Four Corners States

Last week, I set out to purchase 9 trees and a bunch of shrubs to landscape our new yard. I had a very specific list and many HOA requirements to meet. I went to Heidrich's, I went to Harding, I went to Phelen...several times each! Our landscaping schedule was delayed until now, and it is a tough time to find trees, let me tell you. I am a gardening fanatic, and I don't know HOW I haven't found this nursery until now. I just want the owner to know that Heidrich's, hands down, has the best customer service out of all the nurseries in Colorado Springs.

First of all, I DARE you to try and go shop there without someone coming up to you to see if you need help finding anything. Every time I was there, someone found me within minutes. Even wandering in the tree yard they found me! Every time!

Secondly, each and every employee was so kind, and so helpful. Even when I unfortunately found myself being "one of those people" wandering around after closing one desperate evening, they still helped me. Joyfully, helped me, with sincere smiles and kindness. I closed the place down two nights in a row.

I bought trees, I changed my mind and returned and bought different trees the next day. Every encounter with the staff was pleasant and helpful. They were extremely kind and patient, EVERYONE. One kind lady even loaded up my van with a literal "van load" of shrubs while I was checking out.

I also called them numerous times and they were kind and helpful even on the phone. They even went out to measure one of my trees for me.

I hate to say this because it sounds terribly cliche, but I don't know how else to describe my experiences. They treated me like family. Every time go there, I feel like a family member coming for a visit. After being all over town all week, I just can't say enough good things about these guys. I will always come back here, and it will always be my first stop from now on. If you are looking for help with making your yard beautiful and customer service is important to you, you NEED to give Heidrich's a visit. They blow the competition out of the water, I was astounded. Couple weeks ago bought two trees, the girl that helped us pick out the trees was helpful and a good worker, but the ladies at the office to pay for the trees were not, didn't want to listen to what I had to say rushing me through and also forgot to give me my change for the purchase and ended up calling me 15 minutes later after I left so I had to make another trip back there again to pick up my change and also had to go back the next day to pick up a bag of the tree ties and rope that that I bought in order to stake the tree down.

Gets worse at the waiting area waiting to load the trees into the truck one of the workers can't remember his name older guy in mid-40s adding a pic to it the guy that bent over was training a new younger guy since overheard them talking he was really rude he came up to the truck and slammed the tailgate open by letting it just drop didn't even say anything and just looked at us with a mean look so I mentioned it to him like you should make your presence known or introduce yourself or say something instead of this time of the tail gate open in a nice way and also laughed while saying it and he snapped and got really bad attitude with me and didn't want to discuss anything and I was going to ask him for some type of red plastic or something for the back of the tree which it should have had because I know Lowe's and home Depot or any other business is supposed to do that when you're carrying something that's hanging off the truck with 4 feet or more so anyways just left with it hanging off the truck without no kind of flag, only reason I'm giving this two stars is because the first girl that helped us was nice and the trees look healthy and are doing...

We put in a concise effort to support local, which makes this review that much more disappointing. While the staff was super helpful at time of purchase, when it came down to the stand we brought one we recently purchased with us. They were adiment it wouldn't fit. When reaching the checkout counter I was greeted by a warm smile and promising that their stands were UNIQUE and TOP OF THE LINE and would last for years. Altough we we told if we find the stand wobbly, we'd just need to put a piece of plywood to screw it to the bottom. I don't know about you but when I hear "top of the line" id expect the stand to work as purchased without needed adjustments or purchases. Anyway, Trusted the woman and purchased the stand for as we felt a local company serving their local community would be trust worthy....... So $50 later, we realized we "got,got haha. "After leaving we needed to pick up lights and stopped by Walmart, and found the same stand for $25 at Walmart. I understand we all need to make a living, but 100% mark up to the locals that will constantly support your family and business is just ridiculous. Either you're trying to rip off your locals, or you need a new buyer one your end as your not doing your research. So far all is good with our tree, will update on the status of the trees longevity...
