Cool little souvenir shop with a decent selection of items like arrowheads and postcards. However, the customer service was disappointing. After picking out a few small items (like $0.79 arrowheads), the staff insisted on holding onto them until checkout—as if I might steal them. It felt uncomfortable and unwelcoming, especially for a souvenir store that’s supposed to be inviting. Maybe they’re not used to seeing a diverse range of customers, but the experience definitely left a bad impression.

Classic Route 66 stop w gas and a small convenience store plus an expansive gift shop. In retrospect I wish i had done more shopping here. Great selection of items from inexpensive souvenirs to beautiful moccasins and hand crafted jewelry. Very friendly folks. This gorgeous photo was taken from a little step they set up along the back of the property for just this purpose.

You could literally spend all day in this shop and still not find everything you want. So many goodies. My brother bought a new belt with a snakeskin buckle. They have turquoise, rare and precious stones, parkas, food, fireworks, toys, coffee - you name it. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. A great experience - in the middle of nowhere.

Ortega's Indian Market is a great place to stop off Route 66 or I-40 , easy off and on highway with plenty of parking for any size rig. Amazing selection of jewelry, knick•knacks etc. The interesting sign in front of building shows rain run off because they are located on the Continental Divide. The two ladies were polite, pleasant and easy to communicate with. We sat on the beach relaxed and enjoyed our ice cream. Awesome place for travelers to...

So glad I took the 2 minute detour and heeded the advertised signs pointing to take the exit for authentic crafts and souvenirs. I RARELY, almost never go to these type of shops. But glad I went to this place.

I thought I'd be going into a tourist trap shop but glad it is not.

Prices were very reasonable for hand made crafts by the local Navajos within the NM, NV, UT, CO, etc areas.

Service was friendly and...
