I have never been somewhere with such a weird vibe and such rude employees as Paradox Beer Company. We are staying in a cabin nearby and were excited about trying this place out. My husband I walked in the door and patiently waited to be seated. After a few awkward moments of stares from the two employees without greeting us, we went ahead and sat at a table ourselves. After ten minutes, still no one greeted us nor brought us a menu. My husband approached the bar to get a better look at the offerings. A female employee passed by him and he said, "Hi, my wife and I are sitting over there." He returned to the table. Still no one came. After being there about 15-20min we saw two people approach the counter and it looked like they were ordering up there. My husband went up and got us a menu. We decided to start with some churros and drinks. He went back up to order and they said they didn't have churros despite them being on their menu. What a bizarre experience! Needless to say, we left. I wonder why when it's obvious we had never been there before, an employee wouldn't have brought us a menu, asked if we needed any beer recommendations and told us to order at the counter when we were ready?...
Read moreThis place is terrible! Went there at 5:30 pm and they were already out of pizza. The remainder of the menu consisted of three kinds of brats and a couple of appetizers. The pork brat looked anemic—had sort of a grayish white color, and there was a thick tough skin that made it difficult to eat. Pretty sure the bun had been microwaved. We ordered sauerkraut, but had to ask for it. Came out about 15 min later in a small cup—50 cent up charge for this on top of the overpriced food. We chose to sit outside in the cold after a mountain rain shower because the band was very loud and appeared to have overindulged in the beer. My son in law asked for a Mexican beer and got a beer with ice in it and some sort of seasoned salt on the rim, with a lime in it. If you are into craft beers, this might be the place for you, but don’t plan on getting a meal. If I could give it a minus ten, I would. They should’ve paid us...
Read moreMy husband enjoys breweries so we stopped off here on our way to our airbnb. I prefer mixed drinks so usually only try one beer. This is the ONLY brewery I've ever been to where I ended up taking a crowler with me!! I loved the Mixed Culture Key Lime. The lime and Graham cracker rim were a perfect compliment for this beer. My husband enjoys a good Mexican Lager and found the La Fiesta to be to his liking. He pointed out that most people ordered it, so it must be very popular. Great view. Nice staff. They even gave me some crushed Graham crackers to take home with my crowler! We shared a brat which was tasty. My only disappointment was with the food truck which IS NOT run by Paradox. We decided to order a Holy Pizza from the food truck to go. It would behoove the owner to lose the defensive, argumentative, chip on his shoulder attitude. His pizza is good but...
