A friend suggested I stop by this store to get their custard filled donuts because they were amazing. I was sad to find out that they were out of them when I went in. HOWEVER, I chatted with Johnny who had just made a fresh batch of Cannolis. I have never been much of a fan of them in the past but decided to try them this time. These are seriously THE BEST I’ve ever had! I was absolutely shocked that these were filled with local goat cheese and ricotta cheese!
I also decided to get the Neapolitan donuts. Johnny apologized because they were not fresh made that day but had been refrigerated overnight. He suggested warming them up in the microwave. We opted to eat them as is and boy did they surprise us too! The fact that they were cold made it almost as if we were eating a Neapolitan ice cream cake!!! The filling tastes like the most amazing Neapolitan ice cream! Not just fake strawberry or chocolate filling.
The cannolis were so good that I had to go back to get 4 more for the road! When I went back in, I learned that Johnny’s son is who makes the recipes and so I shared our opinion on these pastries. HANDS DOWN AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS!!

Read moreI love this little market. They're known in the area for superior meats and they do not disappoint, but it's the variety of quality products that makes them really stand out. They have a pretty awesome selection of spices, including various dried chili at differing heat levels, (and the best price I've ever seen on Cream of Tartar by weight) but it's the various little homestyle salsas and such that gives them that "I gotta come back and try X" that most little mom and pop businesses strive for... check out the Sweet Fire Pickles for a flavor that will hang on your palate (and in your brain) for a LONG while, and pair them with your favorite barbecue sandwich to really be impressed. My wife and I always make the drive out here versus the big chains in Trinidad anytime we're planning a big meal - and so far I've only gotten compliments on the food. Thanks Ringos...
Read moreOver the last three years, I have felt like our little store down here is really letting their customers down. People are grouchy and they are confused, And I'm talking about the people who work there. Not the customers, Although most of us have gotten to that point.
