Where should I start? First of all the food is overpriced. $5 for a small bowl of nachos, which was mostly cheese. The cheese to nacho ratio was 3:1, and even though I requested NO jalapeños, they still put jalapeños. What if I was allergic? A pitcher of soda is $5 and again, has way too much ice. We ended up with watery sodas.
Next, we wanted to put on bumpers for someone in our group who was having a hard time even with the lightest ball. She is a small person. We asked the front desk to add bumpers for her, and they said no. Had to be 9 or younger. Supposedly they could break, but the person we wanted them for weighs less than most 9 year olds these days.
This is especially rediculous as every other bowling alley I’ve been to lets you add bumpers yourself from the console. I guess this place is so cheap they don’t want to risk MAYBE having to fix a set of bent bumpers. Well the lanes ended up breaking ANYWAY.
I’m sure we all want to go to the bathroom without being afraid of contacting a disease. This is not the case at Strike Gold lanes. The bathrooms reek of sweaty, stinky...
Read moreIf I could give zero stars I would. I had a birthday party planned for this Saturday (11/23) for MONTHS, after calling the last few weeks to confirm and no one answering I get a call on Friday ,the day before,(11/22) saying that all reservations are canceled. When I asked if I could move it to a future date the gentleman told me that no I could not. When I asked for a manager he then told me he was the manager and he gave me a name of John. I then asked if there was someone higher I could talk to about moving the date, he raised his voice and told me that they are sovereign and they can do whatever they want and told me if I had an issue then I should go to Santa Fe or Espanola. What’s happened to this bowling alley ? Staff and management have always been great. If this is how management is going to be and chase business away then they really need to rethink who they have...
Read moreOur experience with a staff member at this bowling alley was almost entirely negative. Our group of 10 was left waiting at the front desk for over five minutes before anyone helped us. Staff members were sitting just 10 feet away and told us they’d be with us in a minute, but didn’t follow up promptly.
When we kindly asked for clarification about the pricing and whether it included the shoe rental, the employee responded rudely and disrespectfully because we didn’t understand what he said the first time. When we received our bowling shoes, he seemed clearly annoyed, as if we were an inconvenience to him. This made it uncomfortable for us to go back and ask for different shoe sizes or for help with our lane.
The other employees seemed more pleasant, but unfortunately, our interaction with this one staff member left a very...
