We drove 12 hours from St. Louis, Missouri to check out Terror in the Corn to see what all the fuss was about. Absolutely amazing haunt from start to finish. Continue reading for a more thorough review. We visited on one of the busiest nights to visit haunted houses, a Saturday night before the week of Halloween. We were able to eat dinner before getting in line. They had a TON of different food and beverage choices, and everyone in our party found something to their liking. We felt like their que setup was very well thought out, broken up into time slots, allowing guests to enjoy the other activities on property while waiting. Once in line we were entertained by 2 skeleton DJ’s that played a nice mix of songs, along with witty “banter” sprinkled in for good measure. Our wait time seemed very similar with other haunts with this level of popularity. We also noticed when purchasing our tickets online they seem to sell out pretty quickly earlier in the day so be aware. We entered the haunt about a minute or so after the group in front of us. Without spoiling anything, this haunt is a mixture of paths through a corn field and different structures. There is a lot of detail everywhere and there is so much to see! It took our party about 40 minutes to traverse the haunt. There are a LOT of actors and the haunt itself is LONG. Inevitability and not surprisingly we did catch up the guests in front of us and there were a few times we had to stop walking and wait for other guests ahead of us to continue on. From what we could tell it was caused by guests getting scared and not wanting to continue on. Even with these “pauses” the actors still got us multiple times. Actors lines were clever, oftentimes including guests in the conversation. Makeup and costumes/outfits were on point, especially considering the actors are in the weather for hours on end making, I’m sure, thousands of the same physical movements in a night. There are a couple of scenes where we felt like we were part of a production on Broadway, walking in on storylines between actors. These parts felt very polished and were a couple of our favorite scenes. Even in the sections of the haunt where you are in the cornfield, it is filled with props, actors, and structures with a plethora of eye candy. I only mention this because we have been to haunts where there are sections with just black walls and no theming. It’s easy to tell that a crazy amount of time and effort and love has been put into this attraction. Is it perfect? Absolutely not. Will you have a good time? Yes. Everyone in our party enjoyed it and we all had our own unique experiences. We now see what all the hype is about and plan on returning next season to see what they come up with next year. Would definitely recommend.

We took our 6 year old Son to go see the mazes and the haunted house. It was his first time in a haunted house and he had an incredible time, as did we.

Edited to mention how disappointing the response was. The event staff did a *horrible* job maintaining the line/flow of people walking through the haunted house. So much so that a slew of other reviews all say the same thing. I’m hoping they take the criticism and improve next year, whether it be through limiting ticket sales, adding more availability throughout the week, it seems there has to be a solution considering there are so many other haunted houses in CO who manage to run smoothly despite big crowds Terror in the corn was a huge disappointment this year. The staff working the night of Sunday the 27th really messed up. They let people into the haunt in such quick succession that we were all bumper to bumper with one another. It was so cramped that the group behind us continually bumped into us even though there was no way we could have possibly walked faster with the giant line of people in front of us. There were multiple points the entire line of people was at a complete standstill for 5 minutes at a time. We all just kind of stood there awkwardly. It became clear even the actors were frustrated. I’ve never had such a negative experience at a haunt before. It felt similar to how it feels when you’re waiting to exit an airplane, rather than a fun haunted house. The set & actors were all great but whoever the event staff coordinating was really really messed up. By the end we were just so happy to get out and go home, we tried to recall our favorite part for a survey and could not even think of anything. This was super disappointing since this was our 4th time coming here and we have always highly recommended this haunt in the past. This year I would recommend skipping and checking out fritzlers! I’m hoping next year this one will be good again & not so horrendously coordinated. seeing their responses to the many others with this complaint, even though it is a busier weekend, that should mean the line to GET IN the haunt is longer, not that the entire haunt experience is ruined for everyone who paid to get in because they decided to just let everyone in at once.

Terror in the Corn and Anderson Farms as a whole have been a staple of fall time for at least half of my life. I have been coming here for 10-15 years. It's been incredible to see the farms' budget and efforts grow alongside the growth of the Erie economy. Let me start with saying the actors, props, and set are incredible. They continue to expand and work on the haunted attraction, and the experience has SO much potential. The main issues come with how the crowds, spacing, and security are handled. First off the crowds and spacing. There are many reviews already here talking about how the spacing of groups is bad, and this is very true. The owner is responding to these essentially saying, "It's not our fault, we can't control how fast people move through the attraction," which is only like 20% true. I went two times last year, and my first time this year last night, the 13th. The employee working the ropes at the entrance of the attraction, right before you actually enter the haunt, was calling forward groups and sending them in, with (not exaggerating) 1-2 seconds between each other. This happened last year, too. This kind of rushing caused our entire experience to be walking through with dozens of people in front and behind us, from the very beginning to the very end. We were even at a full stop for 20-30 seconds at a time, more than 6 times, just waiting for people to start moving again. The employees ARE NOT trying to space people out well, and it's completely ruining the experience. Not only does it ruin the guest experience, but I can't imagine how frustrating this is for the actors. For hours straight last night, they had a full stream of people pushing through the haunt, with 0 space between them. Please do better Terror in the Corn, stop making excuses in all the responses, and take accountability. It's actually infuriating to read how you are responding to some of these reviews. You guys CAN be spacing people out better. Yes, you can't control how fast people move through the haunt, but a lot of those problems are compounded by absolutely ridiculous lack of care at the entrance, when just shoving as many people through as possible. By the time we got out of the haunt, it was about 9:30-9:45 PM, and the line to enter the haunt was completely empty. There is the evidence. There was another 15-30 minutes to space out that last time slot of people. Selling fewer tickets obviously will also fix the issue. I understand that selling fewer tickets will result in less revenue and be harder to maintain the experience, but if there was an open, transparent communication about trying to improve the experience, I would pay more for a ticket to accommodate that loss, and I'm sure many other guests would aswell. My other issue is how security is handled, first being right before the entrance when they give their speech and have us nod at the camera. These employees clearly think low of all the guests and are communicating the rules in a very rude tone. The other issue I have with security is the location at which they are posted through the haunt. I understand they need to have sight on guests to ensure safety for all, but almost every single security guard I saw was right out in the open, often right next to an actor, which really ruined the immersive scare experience. I can almost guarantee that there are better places for the security guards, where they are less visible to guests, and still can have a close eye on the attraction. Also, P.S., the security will actually be given the opportunity to do their jobs if there isn't a constant, shoulder to shoulder swarm of people pushing through. Multiple times I saw guests in front, and behind us grab and pull at props, and there was a young couple behind us who was picking up corn kernals and pebbles, and throwing them at other guests. This happened in front of security more than once, and they couldn't even see it because of how poorly the crowd had been managed at the front gate. The couple throwing things went through the whole attraction and left, no...

Me and my 12 year old came to Denver for her birthday to mainly do haunted houses...

This place was honestly the lowest on our list and we thought this one was going to be the "boring" one...

We were VERY wrong and I am so disappointed in myself that I didn't prioritize this one...

We went to 2 others and they were disorganized, rushed, DRUNKS everywhere, horrible wait times.. no fun attractions.. not kid friendly at all.

Then we came to terror in the corn...

And now my daughter knows what a real haunted house should be like..

This place was HUGE and had so many fun activities to do (barrel rides, petting zoo, pumpkin cannons,go karts, face painting, haunted corn maze, ect, ect, ect) and most of them were FREE.

They had a timed ticket system THAT ACTUALLY WORKS... If you have a 9pm ticket get ready to be in line at 9 because they actually honor your time slot...

There were hundreds of people ahead of us and it took less than an hour from when we got in line to when we were getting into the house.. All the other haunted houses we waited at least 2 hours.

I didn't get the fast pass but it seemed like it was worth it and cut the wait by about half..

TERROR IN THE CORN

This is the main reason we came and it was fantastic.

It was legit 1 mile long.. you walk through multiple barns and houses, corn stocks, pop ups.

They had really decent props But what really stood out was all of the scare actors and the quality of makeup..

They got the best of the best to work for them and everyone went ALL IN on their characters.

The makeup was fantastic and there were . multiple times where me and my daughter were convinced an actor was just a prop.

The only MINOR inconveniences I had was most of the scare actors would see my daughter (12 years old) and kind of skip over her, I understand fully why they would but her favorite part was getting "targeted"

And about halfway through we ran into a gaint wall of people and had to wait periodically to get to the next area,

Pacing is a hard thing to get right because everyone moves at there own speed but it definitely took away from the experience..

A guide or maybe a few more minutes in-between groups would probably help this ALOT

Overall, this place was fantastic, It completely saved our haunted house experience this year, and gave me and my kiddo core memories we will cherish forever..

Great job Anderson farms!

We cannot wait...
