The price at this location was almost double what I could purchase from the parent company an additional 50 miles away. I asked for a quantity discount and she rudely said "no"... We were traveling from Roswell towards White Sands NP. I was craving fresh fruit since we had been overlanding for several weeks. The Fruit Stand came up in a Google search. The selection seemed fantastic. When we got there, there was only pre-weighed bagged apples for $9. Everything was super expensive. As I am always one to support local businesses as we travel, we bought a bag of gala apples. Expecting delicious, fresh picked apples, several apples in the bag were wrinkly and older. Absolutely one the most adorable stores I have seen in a long time. The owner, Pat, has the place organized in the cutest collections. I drive about 3500 miles a week and have seen nearly every roadside store in the country, and this has to be in my top three. It could not ne decorated any better. Pat was also a great help in educating me about the different types of dried peppers, and I just really enjoyed our conversation.
