Valley Market — Local services in Four Corners States

The employees need to learn customer service. Item wouldn’t scan in so a young gentleman ran to check it and came back and told the price to the cashier. It seemed high so I went back and looked and the price was actually 50 cents lower. As I had already paid they then had to call someone over to figure out how to give me the difference. After waiting a little they took me over to customer service and got on the phone to call someone to ask how to fix it. They ended up just opening the drawer and giving me the money. Never apologized for the mix up or the wait/inconvenience. Literally handed me the money and said nothing. Not even have a nice day. I also noticed an item in produce that had been expired for seven days and they were more on the shelf. Gross. Prices are crazy high on a lot of items.

If I could put 0 stars I would. Been going downhill for years and only going down faster now. Staff overturn is huge and each new hire brings even worse work ethic and attitude with them. Produce always horrible, shelves barely stocked, and any decent person working there leaves quickly afterwards. Horrible customer service that do not know how to address or even try to fix issues customers or employees have. Caring seemed to go out the window long ago. Rude employees with deplorable behavior towards customers all the while thinking they are the coolest kids around because they gave a customer attitude. Wish they could find reliable help and actually get them to stay. More of a neuscie than a convenience, if there was another grocery store in town I would never step foot in this...

This is a quaint little store with a decent selection. Their brand name goods are a bit on the expensive side. However, the store makes up for it with it's affordable pricing on meat and produce. Additionally, they have frequent sales on some their goods that take the original expense price and make into something far more affordable; sometimes even beating Walmart on its own pricing. If you visit frequently and pay attention to the sales you can find great deals in this store making it a must see if you frequent the Rye and Colorado City area.
