Vensel Treasure Shoppe — Local services in Four Corners States

New to Green Valley, we were excited to find some needed things for our new home at the Vensel Treasure Shoppe. But when Greg (who did the pricing and made pickups/deliveries) had us follow him back to the shoppe to see a Mexican Table/Chair set he thought we might like, we unknowingly got caught in the middle of some ugly internal power struggle. We "bought" the table on the spot, but Linda refused to process our payment, stating she had closed her books for the day. Greg took down our credit card info, said he would run it the next morning, and we arranged a Friday delivery. It is now Friday morning and we just received a call from Greg stating that he has been fired over his sale of the table to us, which Linda apparently had already promised first dibs on to someone else. No one from the store even bothered to explain any of this to us, or to apologize, or to take any kind of responsibility. Rather, they left it to their fired employee to communicate with us--or not. I’ll never shop there again. Emailed them last week with pictures and questions about consignment. No reply. Called this morning, talked to a very nice woman. Sent the email again. The reply? “We are unable to consign your items.” That’s the entirety of the email. They didn’t even have the courtesy to say something like “thank you for your inquiry.” Or, even more importantly, give an explanation of what they are looking for. The items I wanted to consign are of no importance. The rudeness with which they handled this was important. I hope they’ll take this feedback constructively and give just an extra minute or two to their emails. I’ve shopped there often but will go elsewhere...

Very disappointed in this store. Supposedly they are closed on Wednesday -- but they do sell to some individuals on Wednesday according to their staff. There were people in the store this morning very disappointed to learn that they sold items on Wednesday when they were closed to the general public. I was one of them. In my opinion, if you are hoping for a 20% markdown to save a little on a purchase, there is a good chance, if they mark it down, they will sell it to one of their select buyers on Wednesday when you and I cannot shop there. People should know this about them before they decide to...
