Have you ever wanted to try off roading? šŸš™ Check out Last Dollar Road! šŸš™ Located near Telluride, Colorado, this is a great route for those interested in trying an OHV trail. I recommend standard or high clearance and if you aren’t experienced, go early in the day. This road gets much more difficult to drive with two way traffic! The road takes about 1-2 hours to drive one way but ends at the highway if you want to take the easy way back to town. There are lots of beautiful places to stop along the way and we saw a lot of groups boondocking along this route. šŸ”And don’t miss the views of the famous Wilson Peak: known for its place on Coors cans! šŸ” Would you try this drive? . . . . . #offroading #offroadnation #offroadcamper #offroadadventure #coloradoadventures

Soloing Wilson peak after my one month vacation in the Philippines. Wilson peak will be my 26th 14er out of 58. Way to go!! I did it exactly 6hrs round trip not including stops for taking photos of the beautiful wildflowers and more.

Gorgeous views in winter from the top of Mountain Village and along the highway. This is Wilson Peak. Mt. Wilson is off to the left and not in the panoramic view .

A short walk to the trail head and you go up, up, uphill on Steer Ridge. From mild to steep to difficult to steep again for about a mile. Very few relief flats. Maybe two more steep hills until finally, after 3 miles (and for me just under two hours) you arrive at Wilson Peak. I took Donnely back down and the singletrack is much more gentle on the knees. There are a few steep hills but the longer trail back has more shade, more plants and trees, and more...

Summited her in March of ā€˜14, a brutal winter for a rugged beautiful mountain. I kept a lil’ can of Coors on my innermost layer so it wouldn’t freeze, and once I reached the peak, cracked open that can of fermented carbohydrate goodness and enjoyed that renown taste of the Rockies. Though I packed out all my trash, my heart remained up there near the top. John Denver had it right when he said it was a high: in elevation, in...
