We love the Loyalsock State forest Bridle trails. We go up a couple times a year with our horses. The trail behind the water pump is very nice. We turned at marker 22 to marker 25. Turning right to Eagles Mere Conserv.. is a little rocky & mucky, not too bad. The trail beyond the Conser. is pretty, but gets rocky & very mucky. One horse lost 2 shoes, another horse sprung shoes. Another beautiful trail is across the road from the camping area. Marker 1. Leads to Coal Mine Road. I spoke with Brian at the Hillsgove office before our ride & told him where we wanted to ride. He & his crew went thru & made sure the trails were clear. The horse camping area is very nice.    Read moreThe forest and creek are amazing. Great place to go BUT we stayed overnight in our RV and were treated very poorly by the host. He approached us at dusk with a large dog and questioned whether we were allowed to be there. I offered to show him my tracking number and proof of permit but he refused to look at the electronic copies but nonetheless kept persisting in questioning me and then had the nerve to said I was not cooperating. He was very confrontational and nothing satisfied him. And we paid in full before we got there and even spoke to the park ranger prior who was very kind and helped us...
