What a gem. I can't say enough good things about the people who work here. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and great with my 2 girls. They were patient and answered all their questions. They let us look at all the animals and even pet a few. The store is stocked with a bunch of fresh meat, eggs and milk. My girls really like the chocolate milk. If you have a deep freezer, the run bulk sales. Small family business. Big hearts!

High quality, local meat with deep/rich color and great flavor. There's a variety of sausages that are always phenomenal (ginger scallion chicken sausage will likely blow your socks off). The staff are friendly, the shop is clean/orderly, the farm itself is gorgeous. It's always fun to walk the kids around and see the cows, rabbits, and sheep

This is one of the better local farms around. 100% pastured meats, mostly organic. They get some product from other local producers (such as cheese), with a similar philosophy - all natural/organic, locally handmade. I get Thanksgiving turkey here every year. It's worth a visit!

Such an amazing farm ! I have been getting ALL my meats here for a few years now . They give great advice on how to prepare meals ( I have mdny questions ) their raw milk is great and doesn't upset my lactose intolerance, they make all kinds of sausages , thick cut bacon, snack sticks, chipped steak for cheese steaks , they sell items for pups too ! We get our dog food from here , and my pups LOVE their chicken feet ! We buy their soap bars weekly which are made with tallow and smell so good even for my husband there are scents that smell manly . I fully trust their food and can taste the difference between store bought meats, poultry, and pork . They have bone broth made in house , and prepared foods like chesses, snack sticks , ready to heat soups , and at times coffee milk !! Also chocolate tapioca pudding on occasion ! Highly recommend and they will help answer any questions you have ! Don't pass up this great farm ! Truly a...

Love it. If you're reading this and haven't been to this farm store yet, what are you waiting for?? Go now! Bring your own bags if you can and if you have empty egg cartons not out in the recycling yet bring them too - they'll reuse them. Variety of fresh meats, many types cured meats like sausages, bacon, bologna rings, hard cheeses, raw milk, fresh eggs, local honey & elderberry syrup and much more . They also had some local apple cider in. You can see the herds out in the field, the chickens have their own barn and field too, no cages for these birds!! Super nice to see. Last time here my youngest & I went walking to see if the chickens were out in the yard. They were in the barn and many huddled together in an area that had the most sun, some even sitting on others to get that precious autumn sun. You can't go wrong...

Necessity Farm is one of the best, if not the greatest local farms in the Montgomery County Area! With competitive prices, top notch, warm, welcoming, and friendly staff, and of course the highest possible quality local goods such as grass fed beef, pastured chicken, pork, lamb, high quality and healthy bone broth, raw local honey, local coffee from Speakeasy, raw A2 grass fed cheese and milk you can’t beat it! If you are looking to start eating healthy, and find out what is out there in the world of Whole Foods and natural living you can’t overlook the value and potential of Necessity Farms! Stop in today, I promise you won’t regret it! Once you go grass fed, once you go raw, and once you go local you just simply cannot go back, it completely ruins you for...
