Wanna-Play Paintball — Local services in Franklin Township

My son has had his birthday party there the past 2 years. His party was on 9/27/25 (mind you they are 12-13 year old boys) and we were very disappointed. We were in the middle of a game and a ref from another group walked up and put his hand on a parents shoulder and said "don't do that again." I responded "why not." Because the parent had yelled to his son to progress forward. Thinking he said something to him to not talk to his kid. But apparently the parent lifted his mask from his mouth to yell and the "ref" assumed from the back view he took it off. This ref then proceeded to mouth off to myself and the rest of us parents, walked back towards his group (still watching us), watched us for a few minutes after he walked away. Our boys finished that game and headed back to a pavilion for pizza. His group finished their game and we headed back to another pavilion and he proceeds to walk in our direction. He walked straight under our pavilion (full of children) running his mouth again. We told him there children he needed to walk away. He kept running his mouth and swearing. He eventually shut up and we had a conversation with what I assume was the owner, and I was disappointed with his reaction. He apologized but nothing was "done" about his irate employee. He should have never talked/treated paying customers (that weren't his group especially) that way even more in front of children. Not sure of his name but he was a very short red haired, disrespectful adult man. On a better note our ref Steve was amazing! Kids had fun with him, he gave them pointers on what to do and how to do it, he utilized the whole party time for them, celebrated/congratulated them, and was respectful to them and us parents. So I really enjoyed this place. It is reasonably priced, they're up front and honest about pricing too. They provide everything you need except paint. The fields were nice and fun, except some were not in good condition despite it not being early in the season or after any particularly bad storm. It was rough around the edges.

There are 3 main reasons I'm taking stars off.

First. The regular players. They were using professional guns, were rude to everyone else, and controlled everything about the games. They also fought each other. Almost literally.

Second. The guy who gave us the safety lecture insulted one of the guys I was there off the bat. Not in a funny way, but told him he had a girl's haircut. Then he goes to tell me I shouldn't get married, the all women are the same, and they are terrible. It was my bachelor party.

Third. The refs were not good. The one was meth mouthed, and spent most of the game hanging out with his friends who are the aforementioned regulars. He wouldn't move games along, he would let them drag out for 20 minutes with 3 people left who were sitting there. Then between games they'd hang out with their friends rather than get the next game going. I would have spent another 100 on paint if the games had moved faster and the refs enforced the rules for everyone.

Overall it was fun. But...

So this was my first time playing paintball in years. The staff immediately welcomed me as if I was a regular! A warm welcoming, great sense of humor, pure honesty, great service! My group had alot of questions and needed tips , advice, and took care of all of our needs and answered our questions with perfect precision. The equipment was pretty well taken care of, fast and accurate guns, clean gear. We had one gun break on us and immediately they gave us a replacement without fuss. The courses were fun, immersive, exciting,and varied to both woodland players and speedball players! Terrific paintballs and tons of room to play in! I got to say the best part of the park for my group was the referees these guys dont get alot of credit but these guys worked with a group that had alot of problems and simply needed alot of attention! Our refs went through hell and high water for our group and provided the best service, they gave us advice on how to play, directions where there was hideout's , and much much more!!! These guys really made the experience for my group and I! We are definitely planning on coming back for more and to be apart of the community at...
