Yesterday I visited Fairmount Fruit Farm with my kids, hoping for a fun and memorable day. Unfortunately, our experience was marred by an incident that left us deeply disappointed.
During our visit, one of the farm workers or the owner ( I am not really sure) directed inappropriate and hurtful behavior towards my children, which included yelling at them and making a racist comment towards our family. This behavior was not only shocking but completely unacceptable in any setting, let alone a family-friendly farm.
As a parent, I believe in fostering a positive and inclusive environment for my children. Experiencing such negativity and racism at Fairmount Fruit Farm was distressing, to say the least. It's essential that businesses like this farm prioritize customer service and ensure that all their employees are trained to treat visitors with respect and kindness.
I sincerely hope that Fairmount Fruit Farm takes this feedback seriously and undertakes the necessary steps to address these issues, including educating their staff on appropriate conduct and promoting diversity and inclusion.
I want other families to be able to enjoy their time without fear of mistreatment, so they can create wonderful memories with their children. Our visit was marred by this unfortunate incident, and I hope that sharing our experience will contribute to a more inclusive and welcoming environment for all visitors...
Read moreI purchased two tickets for their nighttime "SL-hay" ride with complementary hot coco and apple cider donuts through Groupon. When we arrived we checked in at the country store and then went outside and walked a little way to the staired landing that led to the burlap and warm blanket covered, haybail lined tractor pulled trailer that was large enough for a good sized group to sit. The night we decided to go happened to be the night after a snowfall. The skies were clear, temperature was frigid, and the weather was a little windy but the provided Christmas music, hot coco, blankets, and my love next to me in the "SL-hay" were all that was needed to keep each other warm so we could enjoy the ride through the festively lit orchard. We were fortunate enough to be the only two people on the ride! Making our date night that much more romantic 😍! The tractor driver's dog led the way through the fun holiday scenes lit throughout the orchard along with seasonally tasteful and simple lights that created a romantic a atmosphere for us. If you are looking for something inexpensive, festive, romantic, and/or fun for the whole family then go on Fairmount Fruit Farms SL-hay ride! And after your ride you can pick out a tree or visit the inside country store for local goodies. I give a 5 star, 2...
Read moreI discovered Fairmount Fruit Farm today when I was invited to a group event there. This place is amazing, especially if you have young kids. The hay rides to the orchard are free and go frequently. There are goats and alpacas to feed. Chickens and the whitest geese, not to mention one very fluffy black chicken that looks and walks like a puppy, I kid you not! There is a hay bale maze under a tent and a kids play area right outside that tent with large size ride on toys. CJ and his helpers did an amazing job setting up the space for our event. They brought in tons of hay bales, pumpkins, pots of mum's and tons of small gourds to decorate the space. They even built benches for us on the spot when we asked for more seating. The place looked like a scene out of Pinterest when they finished. The apple fritters and cider donuts along with the apple cider were brought out on time as we requested and they helped to clean up. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to hang out with their kids as well as anyone looking to do a...
