Family Foods of Gates — Local services in Franklin

Stopped by on a trip with my family and I have never been more disgusted with a grocery store. Stopped by at about 7pm. Meat is discolored and has an odd smell. There was mold on the pastries on the table up front. The bread had out of dates from last week. My son bought some slices of cheese that it looks like they actually repackaged because when we flipped the slices over they had mold on the back. The employees had terrible attitudes, the guys in the meat section were standing joking around, and the manager on duty allison was laughing at customers and on her phone up front not paying attention to the fact that out of the 10 things we bought at that store, 8 of them rang up the wrong price and I had to fight with the cashier to get her to put in the correct prices. The meat sale they run monthly is great and they do have a fairly good selection of groceries including produce. The people are generally pretty nice. You do have to check through your receipts though, I have been double charged for items four times now. I didn’t say anything the first time and wrote it off as I should have been more watchful the second. The third time I was kind of upset about it and returned to the store. They were very willing to refund my money. This time I remembered before I got to my car and they refunded my money very quickly but I believe at this point it is worth warning others to be aware.

Great Grocery Store!! The staff is "focused on helping customers" and keeping the store clean & well stocked..Kudos on proper attire for your employees! Their Meat Dept's ground Chuck will make you the "Best Burger ever! Weekly sales are hard to beat.. Coffee section even carries Luzianne..killer bold and smooth without high caffeine. Amen.
