Absolutely fabulous tiny hidden off the grid restaurant associated with this, called The Porch. The country ham dinner was fantastic. We also had the fried pickles and fried green beans, both were done very well. I had the white beans and mixed veggies but they have hot slaw if you want it. The menu was written on the inside of a 12 pack beer carton. I think there are 8 tables. 4/20/18- returned to Franklin for Easter 2019, went back to The Porch, had the country smoked ham, white beans, vinegar slaw, hush puppies. 'Nuff said. We Loved going to Ernie’s for Valentines Day. Their food was fabulous The staff top notch & beyond friendly Neither Sperry’s or Stoney River did their lobster tails as perfect. Ernie, the owner & his beautiful wife Pam greeted us like family. Dawn our waitress was always friendly & patient lovely lady. They’d check in on us a few times. Very friendly staff. Local meat and produce, and it shows in the quality and flavor. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly. Fried chicken livers reminded me of my mom's cooking. I had a local tell me come for the local beef but come back to try everything else. Everything looked great coming out of the kitchen. Heard good things about the catfish. I'm definitely coming...
