Mr. D’s Travel Center and Casino — Local services in Franklin

I came to this place because of all the great reviews. I am a truck driver and I needed a shower. Saturday of April 19,2025 I asked for a shower which was 2 dollars. The shower floor was nasty and the shower curtain was filthy there was bar soap pieces on the floor and soap holder and someone's shower sponge. I was is such disbelief i had to take pictures.This is not exceptable for people who are strangers to take showers. I ask the young lady is there anyone that cleans the showers and she said in the mornings once a day. I've been on the road for over 20 years and never ever experienced this. Showers should be cleaned after each person. If you can not hire some one to fo so then the showers should be shut down. Your customer service was ok until Sunday I wanted to try the boudin and I asked the young lady who was pretty pleasant what is in it only because I know people use chicken instead of pork or beef liver. Not sure what this unpleasant woman name was but she was a Lil tall and dark skinned. The young lady that was helping asked her what was in it and she stood there looked crazy for bout 30 seconds as if it was a problem and then answered with this nasty attitude. Let me tell you I am 53 years old and I have children their age and very respectful. If you don't like your job find another one where you will be happy to help everyone not just your choice. The reviews on here is for the store and casino and yes they are ok but as a tired truck driver who needed a shower and wanted to relax big negative. Stop fixing the looks of the store and fix the darn pumps!!

Updated 3/19/21. New pumps.. but don't get excited. Pay at pump has been broken since install.

Higher priced fuel, always filthy, gas pump readers and printers are always broken. Diesel nozzles are a shame with fuel always on the ground soaking your shoes and tracking into your vehicle. As of today the pumps are out of order 5/18/2018. No sale.

This place is close to my heart .... I shall miss it .... I just moved back to New Orleans from Franklin about 2 weeks ago.... I will miss all my friends there.. And Mr D's travel center !!! What can I say they had a little bit of everything.... It's Part convenience store, Part restaurant, and of course ..... The casino !!!! So much fun ! And those machines hit pretty often !
