Bo's Steak House — Local services in Franklinton

The waitress was very nice and helpful with taking the drink and food order. Should have gone with the buffet like most of the other guests, but the sign said steak house. We ordered 4 ribeye steaks (16 oz). 2 were ordered well and 2 medium well. Was not concerned about the wait. However, there were no salad bowls at the bar and waited a little while till some were cleaned. Was not aware that silverware had to be gotten from the buffet, along with napkins , even if you ordered off of the menu. Those were just minor complaints. The steaks arrived with cool baked potatoes. However, when we cut into the steaks, which were also not hot, the medium steaks were medium rare and the medium ones were purple and bloody. The cuts of meat were what really pushed me to comment. On all the steaks there were at least 8 ounces of fat! I’ve never had that happen, even at Golden Corral.

I have never posted a review before; but I wished I would have been forewarned before I spent over $100.00 on a bad meal. I hope this was just a bad night for them, but I don’t think I’ll return...

Food was not good. We ordered off the menu hoping it would be better than the cold soggy buffet. We had two steaks (over cooked) and they were out of baked potatoes so we ended up with a side of sad soggy cold steamed vegetables. We also had one kids buffet (the toddler didn't eat anything but fries which were cold and soggy). And we also had two sodas (no refills as the waitress didn't come back and ask nor gave us a chance to ask). Our total was $121. We will not be eating here again. We have tried multiple times but tonight was the nail in the coffin for us. Bo's is a run down family diner that is only open still because it's close to Franklinton and not an hour drive away. We recently visited Bo's and was very disappointed. We only went for the crab legs which they did not have all you can eat anymore and they were very expensive by the lb so I ordered shrimp and oyster and after waiting 20 minutes they tell me they don't have any oysters so they will bring extra shrimp. Everyone else at the table already got their food and I'm still waiting on the shrimp and when it finally came it was awful way too much cornmeal and overcooked so they were hard.
