The phone doctor when I showed up at his place he looked like a mad scientist, but I kid you not his work was art. He took his time to understand the problem and repair the old phone like it was new out of the box again. Customer for life now.
Here are details of the repair if readers would like to consider: My iPhone SE 2020 had a lot of gunk towards the bottom of the phone near the charge port. I saw a few YouTube and TikTok videos on how to remove the gunk with tape and a paper clip. I followed the directions to the tea and shortly after people couldn’t hear me on calls anymore when I put them on speakerphone.
I found the phone doctor from Google search, there were a handful of other Repair facilities and I did my research before visiting. I have a busy schedule and phone doctor was able to offer different types of services during the same visit so I decided to give them A try.
What separates this repair facility from others is the meticulousness of their device assessment. other facilities try to diagnose the symptoms over the phone, but it’s not as comprehensive and thorough. I am a CPA (accountant) by trade and came from a family of watchmakers, it requires a lot of attention to details so I can appreciate attention to details on other professions.
The troubleshooting steps that phone doctor use was unconventional, but proved to be effective. The best part was I was able to watch the repair process and troubleshooting steps that were taken. Everything made sense and I was glad that the phone doctor was able to break it down and explain it to me so that other people from other specializations could understand the approach implemented.
Repair process was labor-intensive and more time consuming than I would’ve thought but I am glad I was there too see the entire procedure. Through their efforts I was able to save $7.38 in parts cost and every bit matters in today’s economy.
The facility is hard to find and busy so it will be best to call ahead of time and schedule an appointment.
Lastly, They have the Best charge port cleaning in town it fixed my microphone problem...
Read moreRevised and updated: 04/15/24. My son’s phone got water damaged from a Gatorade bottle. The phone was sending random text messages to his friends at night and kept on punching the wrong password in. Since I had a good experience last time, I wanted to try phone doctor again. The results are positive just like last time. Called in the early morning and was able to get appointment the same day, however, this time they are under construction and parking was a little bit difficult. Just like everyone else said best part of the repair was being able to see the repair in progress and it’s also documented for TikTok and YouTube for review later. The screen protector was installed with meticulous attention to details. Thank you so much George and Luxse of phone Doctor Frederick.
Original review: 030524 Heard and read a few good things about this facility. Initially skeptical, but wanted to check them out and here are my findings. The phone was repaired within promised time. I originally went to a repair place in the mall. And a couple other facilities as well because I wanted to make sure the purchase was well researched. The price for repair was more of a premium than other locations but the quality of work and experience was amazing. The only negative thing I would say is that the facility is hard to find since it is off of a residential street. After overcoming that obstacle, the rest was easy Peezy lemon squeezy. I am glad that I was able to come to Phone Doctor instead and everything worked out perfectly. I am so happy with the results! I definitely recommend Phone Doctor. I felt valued and was able to be seen right away. Below are some pictures attached to showcase the phone before and after repair. I also purchased a screen protector to help support small business businesses here...
Read moreI cannot say enough good things about my experience and time spent with the Phone Doctor this afternoon. After 6+ years with my iPhone 11Pro (and many accidentals drops), this morning I was greeted with what was later diagnosed as the Black Screen of Death. My first stop was at Verizon (on Spectrum Drive) where Philip was really helpful in getting me setup with a new, fully functioning phone. Unfortunately, I could not remember my Apple ID password (the first of several password struggles I had today), and therefore could not attempt to transfer data, among other things. That was when Philip referred me to this guy he knows. He said if anyone could help me transfer data it would be the Phone Doctor, and he was right! Lux did the unthinkable! He restored the screen on my old phone in order to transfer all my data to my new phone. I cannot thank him enough. Some of the data on my phone- sentimental in nature- is invaluable and irreplaceable and, as silly as it may seem to some, the loss of it would have been hard to recover from. From start to finish, Lux was kind, informative, and supportive as he performed what I believe was a akin to a miracle. He is knowledgeable, skilled, meticulous, and so very patient. I was in his shop for close to four hours and the quality of his service and overall demeanor never wavered. He is also very down-to-earth, which I believe was largely responsible for me remaining calm as he worked his magic. While I hope not to take up nearly as much of his time in the future, I am definitely adding Lux to my list of important people, for my future technological support needs. Thank you, again...
