Oliveira Brothers Materials Inc. — Local services in Freetown

I called on a Monday and requested a full truck load of clean fill (30 yards) any day that week except for friday and I was told no problem, I paid at the time of the request.

Wednesday evening I called to find out when they were going to deliver the fill, the person who answered couldn't find my order at first. Once they found it thet told me they had me scheduled for Friday. I laughed and told him I specifically said that I couldn't receive it on friday. After a few minutes on hold I was told they would squeeze me in on Thursday at the end of the day.

4:30 pm on Thursday I give them a call and they tell me they can't make it today. And ask if friday works. I once again have to explain to them that friday doesn't work. We agree on first thing Monday morning.

10:00 am Monday my fill still has not arrived. I call and now I'm told their guy is on his way back to their site to load up and head to me. 3 hours later he arrives with a smaller truck and said he has to make a few trips. This took another 2+ hours. No call from the owners or manager to inform me of anything.

To top it off the "Clean fill" I ordered had several large rocks over 12 inches across.

Needless to say I am not happy with the service or the product. Very unprofessional and I will not do business with them...

Oliveira Brothers Materials has provided me with high quality rocks to fill in under my new deck area at a very reasonable price ($33 per cubic yard) and delivery ($75). The process of ordering the rocks were very quick and easy. The staff was very professional. The rocks were delivered on the day and time I requested them. I have a very hilly property and the delivery man was able to get the rocks to exactly were I needed them making the process of completing my work far easier. Thank you Oliveira Brothers Materials I will use you again for future projects and have referred others I know who are looking for landscaping items...

Not happy with the loam that I received. Loam was delivered wet/mud (apparently this isn’t uncommon) and once spread out in the yard and dried was completely full of rocks. Updated review to reflect the way the company handled my complaint. Someone drove out, took a look at what was delivered apologized and refunded my money, as well as offered to deliver fresh loam. Declined additional loam as the refund alone was enough to break-even paying my landscaper to clean things up and rake out the rocks. Would consider doing business again based on the professionalism in the way things...
