The good the bad and the ugly. The good: We reserved a tee time for Friday, thinking we made it for Sunday so when we showed up, they fit us in. We had a group of 4 but one of us wasn’t actually playing so they only charged us for 3 people which was nice. I started to wonder after hole 3 if that was our “discount”, however it still cost us $275 for 3 people to play on this janky course. The bad: The person that checked us in was dipping and spitting in his cup… 🫣 I’m not a golfer but I know how a golf course should look and play and this isn’t it. Nothing about these grounds were smooth. Literal holes in the ground that we had to avoid when getting to our ball. Yes, I know flooding happens and therefore trash is visible. Yes, I know it’s Texas and we haven’t had much rain so drought happens and the ground cracks. Yes, I know maintenance is required. So when all these things happen, it would be nice to get a heads up when paying this much to play golf on a course in this condition. We could have found a nicer, less expensive course to play. The ugly: Look at the pictures to see for yourself.

Don’t believe all the bad reviews you see online for this course. The fairways, tee boxes and greens were all in decent shape. The greens were in good shape and fairly fast had breaks that were hard to read for me. But that’s just operator error. They have a nice putting green. That’s very similar to the actual greens. They actually have a chipping space as well. Sorry, no photo. I did pay about $60 online on GolfNow. But it seems like that’s kind of going rate in this area of the country. I played this course a year ago and was equally satisfied. I’ll definitely be back. Some challenging holes where you have to hit over a creek twice towards the green that makes for very tricky approaches and requires course management.

March 2025; 1st time to play the course. Senior, played blue tees (6320, 70.7, 124) Highlights: Clubhouse, impressive layout & greens (despite some poa anna ). Shot makers course; driving in the fairway is a must to score. Water on a # of holes. Greens are large, they hold, can spin the ball. Tee boxes & fairways have potential but need more water. Fairways were hard & rolled out. Practice area is large ( mats only ) Practice putting area is excellent People were very nice & welcoming Lots of maintenance work to be done ( brush pickup, etc ) that will make the course shine Solid value at senior rate $$ Will be back!

I would provably never come back to this course again, but this course needs improvement on the all the aspects, especially on the staffs who is facing the customer at the top front as a representative of the golf course.

The Asian guy working at the pro shop had no sense of service. My experience at the pro shop today was the worst experience at the golf course during my entire 20 years of golfing because of that guy.

Because of the heavy rain, we couldn’t finish the hole #3 and wanted to get the rain check. The amount on the rain check seemed lower than we expected, and we asked if he can explain the reason. The Asian guy at the pro shop was saying “that’s the amount I give today. If you don’t need the rain check, just go“ and “you should appreciate to what I gave you” and even throw the rain check to the side of the table and asked us to go to the side and wait him until he talks to the next customer without finishing our conversation. After we came out from the pro shop, me and my friend talked to each other that this is the worst experience ever. This guy even came out from the door, followed us and cursed with F words. And when we asked what he said, he said he didn’t say that. What’s going on at this golf course? Never expected this kind of situation where we paid for fun. I don’t even know how he could get a job there.

I don’t know if this message can be found by the owner or the higher management of the course, but I think they need to find better person at the pro shop who can talk with their value customer with...

I never want to return to a golf course like this again!! I would like them to clean up the TRASH lying around the golf course and offer a fair price.

I’ve just returned after canceling the membership I had for over two years. Their actions are only focused on money without any consideration for their customers. On March 21st, I received an unexpected email stating that they would start demanding an access fee starting on April 1st–all without any warning or grace period for existing members. I fully understand that other golf course fees are rising these days, but my problem is the attitude of one manager in particular, who has a track record of showing no courtesy to customers. He also stated that they would receive an initiation fee of $100 if I returned within 6 months; however, this is a clause that wasn’t in the contract I originally signed. These words and actions are not intended to bring back old customers, but rather to drive them away. I used to play rounds with a group of 16 friends every Tuesday morning, and even when the bridge collapsed due to bad weather, the grass was washed away, and there was litter all over the place, we all felt a sentimental attachment to the place, as we would to a local playground.

Investing more in golf course management and learning how to treat customers well before doing business would be a good idea.

However, I would like to express my infinite gratitude to the marshals and staff who always waved and welcomed us kindly during...

I recently played a round at Trails of Frisco Golf Club, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The course is beautifully maintained, with lush fairways, smooth greens, and a layout that offers both challenge and variety. Every hole has its own character, and the scenic views throughout make it a pleasure to play.

The staff is friendly, professional, and welcoming. From the moment I checked in, I felt taken care of. The pace of play was just right—fast enough to keep things moving, but never rushed. The course offers a nice mix of holes for all skill levels, so whether you’re looking to test your game or enjoy a relaxed round with friends, it’s a perfect fit.

I was especially impressed with the practice facilities, which are well-equipped for warming up or working on specific skills. The clubhouse is comfortable, with a great selection of food and drinks for after your round.

Overall, Trails of Frisco Golf Club delivers an exceptional golf experience. Between the pristine conditions, thoughtful design, and excellent service, it’s a place I’ll keep coming back to. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a quality round of golf in a welcoming and...
