My sister and her husband threw a Superior party for my nephew’s 6th birthday yesterday at Crown Sport Center. It went from being a great party to being a disaster with crying children and highly upset parents and party goers. INCIDENT #1: As we were in enjoying a game of laser tag a few of the party goers wanted to attempt the rock wall. While one of the party attendees was getting suited up in the rock wall gear, the party host (Male Crown Staff Member) started to interrogate if we had paid for the person attempting the rock wall. The female staff member replied with a “Yes.” He proceeded to ask her once again if she paid for the rock wall at the front and the female staff member stated that she paid at the front. His reply was “Just making sure” This upset a lot of attendees being that it he made it seem like we just got a random staff member to suit this person up for the rock wall. INCIDENT #2: So as we all came back to the Crown Room from skating (the last stop on the itinerary) we noticed some BIG was missing. AN ENTIRE TABLE THAT HELD OVER $200 WORK OF CANDY WAS COMPLETELY GONE! We started asking where all the candy went and the reply we received was it was THROWN AWAY! Not one of the staff member at this venue asked what was to be done with this table. They took it upon themselves to “throw away” the candy as well as gift bags with housed candy that the kids had collected from the table. Here is the VERY SKETCHY PART…….. They “threw away” the candy BUT left the food, cake, cupcakes as well as the boxes that were on the candy table. This immediately caused the children to cry because their candy was taken away from them which in return made parents highly upset to see their children cry. There was a parent who informed your staff to NOT mess with this table and they said they won’t. Well we know that was wrong in the end. I truly believe that we should have received some kind of notification that they were going to “throw away” the candy. WE NEED ANSWERS and not a “We are sorry here are some passes” This was not my sister and her husband’s first time throwing a Superior Party at Crown. If someone spends around $700 just to have the party not including all the $200 in candy “thrown away” there should be some sort of compensation for you inconsiderate staff members.
YOU WILL NOT BE SEEING UP BACK IN DECEMBER, JANUARY NOR APRIL FOR ANY MORE SUPERIOR PARTIES OR ANY...
Read more8/12/2017 The good.... Prices average. For a raining Saturday afternoon it was not busy at all. The music was not obnoxious or to loud and generally people seemed to be having a good time. Plenty of places to sit when not skating. We did not use the snack center or any other areas other than the skate rink itself. That is where the good ends... The issues.... We waited in a small line to get in around 12 noon. The staff working at the counter was very slow and took 15 minutes to process maybe ten people through the door. One window was open and three people in the sales office. We needed two adult skate retails and my wife's skate where not bad. I however had to go through three pairs before find a set that didn't have a wheel that felt like it was coming off or bearings missing. My old pro skates don't fit me so I had no choice but to rent. The rink itself is uneven with cracks/gaps in the flooring. I have never skated on a plywood floor before and it was wavey. The rink has spots with body filler and attempted repairs. Between the in properly maintenanced skates and the iffy floor it was not the experience I remember. My daughter is new to skating and wanted one of the skate buddy things that crown rents. At the time we arrived they were all rented, which happens. There was only five that I could count on the floor and I understand not wanting to many of these things with other people trying to skate. However half of them were just sitting to the side or not being used. Maybe chose a different method to allow people to use these. Like use it or lose it. Anyway a nice mom who was leaving gave us hers as she was packing up and my daughter got to use it all afternoon. There was a lot of people going the wrong way around the rink and side to side with no rink attendant in sight. I think the attendant on staff was the same guy renting skates. Either way there was people doing things they shouldn't. We had no choice but to attend with out one year old. Neither bathroom had a child changing station. Kinda standard everywhere at this point. However!!! My daughter had a good experience and didn't get hurt so at the end of the day it was ok. I'd still like to see if I could get into the "other" local part time rink. I've heard they have a...
Read moreI’m going to start by saying this, I’ve never once in my life written a review about anything so that should stay a lot! The place in itself is very nice has a lot of programs and activities to participate in. I personally attended one of the basketball games tonight for the play off, and I can honestly say that I am very disappointed with the behavior of these “men” and their poor sportsmanship. This team in particular were very aggressive and had a lot of mouth on them and were very physical with other teams and players. That is an ADULT league that is non competitive and this team was way out of line and not to mention trying their hardest to fight someone on the other team because the other player was simply defending himself because the referee wasn’t doing their job and calling the foul. And not to mention this was also against the Co Owners team and he sat on the bench and watched his team being completely disrespectful towards other players. This is supposed to be a fun and safe atmosphere and after seeing the way they allowed other people to be disrespectful and not remove from the facility I don’t think I’ll be coming back. That didn’t scream fun and safe for me I felt like I was watching a basketball game with inmates as the players. Come on...
