Approximately a year ago, I had the pleasure of playing this golf course, unsure of what to anticipate. What I discovered was nothing short of a hidden gem, a true delight for any golf enthusiast. The course boasts a meticulously designed layout that challenges players of all skill levels while offering a scenic and engaging experience. The greens were a standout feature, impeccably maintained with a smooth, consistent roll that elevated the overall enjoyment of the game. While a few fairways showed signs of damage, likely due to a fungal issue or disease, the affected areas were minimal and did not significantly detract from the experience. The unaffected portions of the course were in pristine condition, with lush fairways and well-groomed hazards that demonstrated the grounds crew’s dedication to quality. It’s clear that the management is committed to addressing these challenges, as the course’s overall condition was impressive. Beyond the course itself, I was particularly impressed by the thoughtful gestures that set this place apart. The staff’s warm hospitality and attention to detail created a welcoming atmosphere. IF YOU ARE A PERSON OF COLOR, PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! I went to this venue to attend my cousin's wedding with family and friends, and the police were called because of a physical altercation with people not apart of our party on a separate part of the golf course. The manager gave the bride and groom champagne and then told them that they weren't allowed to drink it because it was "outside liquor" but it actually came from the open bar, which my cousin's had paid for. My cousin's went to take the liquor outside because they were told not to drink it inside the venue, and on their way to the door to follow the directions they were given, the police were called on them. There was a very rude employee who decided that he had a personal grudge against the groom and started drama and because of the "outside liquor" the wedding was shut down. After the bride and groom spoke with the police, who had also spoken with the rude employee, they were told that the employee had said that he got mad because the groom hurt his feelings. And we still had to pack up and leave without getting the full block of time paid for and after the police talked to the manager. I made a tee time a few days in advance to play on a Saturday afternoon. The employee I talked to informed me the price was $36. When I got there the price changed to $48. I was informed by the gentleman working there that the winter rates were over and the employee I talked to was not aware of the change. I asked if we could get the winter rate anyway, the answer was no, I asked for any discount and the answer was no. Each member of my foursome paid the $48 summer rate. I believe the course should not have charged us or anyone the $48 rate that day because the golf course was not "summer rate" ready. There were no tee boxes setup on any hole we played. We guessed where to tee off. The bathrooms on hole 7 were closed. A member of my group had to use the bathroom (not #1) and was pleasantly surprised they were locked =) No ball cleaners had water in them. In fact, it was almost like they hadn't been cleaned since the previous year. I'm pretty sure the ones attached to the carts weren't properly filled either and dirty. 1 star for this one.
