Buckhorn General Store — Local services in Fuquay-Varina

I've rented Uhauls from plenty of local places and Buckhorn General Store is by far my FAVORITE Uhaul dealer 💖

Every person there that I've dealt with has been friendly, talkative and attentive to me and my truck needs. Even their onsite German shepherd dog is a sweetheart 💖

I appreciate that they help work thru any issues trying to check in online and if there's anything that goes wrong during drop off like when I forgot to either leave the keys in the truck or give them the keys during check in (I was rearranging my vehicle so I could fit out hand truck into my vehicle without it busting one of my windows and had slipped the keys in my back pocket 🤦)

I coordinated with them to just drop off the keys in drop box instead of having them hang around for me to come back with them since it was so close to 7pm (closing time)

Lol 😂 we ALL had a good laugh over...

This is a repost of a review made on the old page; it appears this business shut down their old page and made this new one, presumably to try to escape bad reviews like mine.

Wouldn't even give them one star. Rented a Uhaul here and they showed up to open the store 30 minutes after the reserved time, only after we called them 2-3 times to have them come. Meanwhile, I have to start paying my moving labor who have been reserved and are paid for time (including time waiting on acquiring the truck). The Owner threatened my father for expressing disappointment first with withholding the truck, and then physical violence (yes, really). Both he and his employee who finally managed to drag themselves into work reeked of marijuana smell. Recently bought three bags of horse feed. Two of the bags were torn, with the torn places covered with duct tape. Didn’t question whether or not any feed had run out of the openings. When I got home to put the feed away (store in metal barrels at my barn), two bags were covered inside with black beetles. Took the two bags back for exchange. They only had one other good bag. Today I went back to get one other bag owed to me. The owner was there and gave me the only other bag he had. Said there would be no more feed exchange ever and that those two bags cost him more than all the feed I have bought from him for almost ten years or however long he has been at the two locations on 42.
