Right away Chairs For Worship was great to work with in finding just the right chairs for our new sanctuary. Dori sent us a sample chair immediately, even before we requested one! There was much for our team to learn in knowing what to select, and the sample chair really showed the quality of the chairs. The one that came was so well liked by our team, that every other chair we looked at was compared with the Optima. We especially liked the curved back and lumbar support in the back as well as the way the back connected with the seat, so there was no gap for items to fall through. The fossil color of the upholstery enhances and goes beautifully with the carpeting we chose. We also liked the unique connectors which allowed us to curve the chairs in rows. We have noticed the chairs hardly need connectors because the legs stay where they are placed on the floor and do not slide at all. We have ordered sliders to put on the bottom of our extra chairs which will be used to slide under tables. Chairs For Worship worked with us as our schedule for delivery changed. The chairs are great quality. Representative was easy to get a hold of, responsive and nice. The biggest issue I had was with the shipping. They made it sound like when the chairs were available they would be shipped out right away. This is not how they do their shipping at all. They give you "discounted" shipping without really telling you. It is also nowhere on the contract. "Discounted" shipping means they combine orders in a truck. The biggest problem with this is they wait til they get enough orders to lease a full truck. If they can't get enough, they contact you asking you to pay more shipping if you want your chairs right now (ours was over $700 extra!). Or you can wait til someone else is ready for their chairs or they get another order out your way. Really shady way to get an extra buck out of people. If they were up front about this process, it would have been better, but the overall experience was ruined by the fact we had to use metal chairs in our auditorium while they ransomed our order (completely paid for) because of their weird shipping methods. I would like to share my experience on the purchase of 250 chairs from Chairs For Worship. My church (First Baptist Church, Concord,N.C.) asked me to lead a complete remodel of our fellowship hall in November of 2024. I knew of some local painting and curtain contractors, but had no clue about where to buy chairs. While browsing the internet, I found three chair companies to contact. After dealing with the reps at all three businesses, only one stood out because of product, price and customer service - Chairs For Worship. I had the pleasure of working with Michell Jones. She is very knowledgeable, kind and guided me through this process every step of the way! She had a chair sent to us for our committee members to see, touch and sit on.. She also sent us a lot of fabric samples to choose from and the time frames of completing the order. I worked in the sales field for over 42 years and know how important it is to gain the trust of your customer base.
