I had two events at Ironwood one a baby shower and the other was my daughter’s first birthday party! With both events it was hard to get in contact with Erin I’m guessing because she has other things going on outside of her job at Ironwood. When booking the first event she had put the wrong date for baby shower in which she gave us a discounted price for the misunderstanding. I was very grateful and moving forward the event went very well and the staff helped out with everything! My next event which was 13 months later was a different story. Again, Erin was hard to get in contact with. Doing my deposit was hard because of our schedule and what days she is actually in the office. I had to hire my own decorator due to the previous one (who did my baby shower) not being available on the date. The previous decorator is someone Erin likes and is use to working with. My first event Erin was very helpful, pleasant, and convenient to any concerns I had. She even sent out a reminder email and gave me a call a few days before my event. My second event was like night and day she was very rude and inconsiderate to myself and my decorator. It came to the point I was about to cancel a week before her party. Erin and myself got in a verbal disagreement about her behavior. I ended up contacting her boss Jeff! Erin didn’t treat me like a returning customer nor did she show any kind of respect to my decorator. After speaking with Jeff Erin was upset because people had been canceling at the last minute and not paying their fees for their event. I did end up having her party but I wouldn’t book with Ironwood if I would have to deal with Erin she lacks communication skills and any kind of empathy towards future and...
Read more1 star given for the outdoor environment and nature atmosphere. All other aspects of the course are terrible. We had to wait past our tee time because a group of 6 was allowed before us. Not to mention the ranger, was very rude in the way he inspected the carts to ensure there were two sets of clubs in the cart, no coolers regardless of what beverages were inside. I respect the rules and plan to follow them accordingly however being polite and enforcing the rules is not his strong suit. Keep in mind there are no beverage carts on the course and the rules on the cart only say “no outside alcohol allowed”. He strictly and rudely enforced the rules. He still questioned my drink bought from the bar. The “greens” are more like dirt and patches of sand. At the first hole, the cup was 1/2 in above the ground. Ant mounds on the greens, bare spots on the fairway and we have only made it to the 3rd hole. No wonder this place is going out of business. We will not be returning here and suggest others visit Turkey...
Read moreI’ve played at this course several times now, and let me say it’s more than worth the price you pay for 9-18 holes. Not to mention drinking beer on the course is allowed. Just be courteous as to not leave bottles and trash behind. The driving range is nice and spacious and the ball flight is easy to track once struck off the practice tees. Clubhouse staff is very nice and quick with service, not to mention the clubhouse food is great as well. The burger being my favorite after 18 holes. The greens roll anywhere between a 8-10 speed, and are well maintained. Especially with how difficult it is to maintain greens in Florida. Fairways are also nice and open. Course difficulty is definitely moderate. If you’re looking for a good golf course for the price, go here for sure. Also it’s a good course for beginners as...
