Life MADE. Making your feed a little brighter today. Save this post so you can come back to it! This past weekend I took my whole family to experience goat yoga at @goatyogalena and I have to say, WHY HAVE I NEVER DONE THIS BEFORE?! It was an un-baaa-lievable experience you need to try (like what I did there 🐐?) Yoga is so much more fun when you’re doing it with the most adorable, furry friends! There is also something very healing about spending time with animals in a zen environment. There were lots of laughs and smiles the whole time. I’m totally addicted and want to go back. Kids 8+ are allowed. You do 45 mintues of yoga and 45 minutes of goat cuddle/picture time. They also have a “coffee and goats” options. If you’re ever in the Galena area, @goatyogalena has to make it on your must-do list, you’ll thank me later. If you’ve done Goat Yoga, share your experience below! #galena #visitgalena #goatyoga #midwesttravel #travelillinois @enjoyillinois Things to do in Galena | Galena, Illinois | Goat yoga in Galena | Fun things to do in Galena

RECENT EXPERIENCE 2025 He's my husband now! We returned to Galena for an anniversary trip and had to go back to our favorite spot, Galena Goat Yoga. This place is the best. Class format has changed a bit - Yoga class includes a handful of grown goats, which are more mellow and generally allow you to get your downward dog on. After the Yoga class, the baby goats come out! There is ample opportunity to hold the goats, pose with them, etc. I think that this format is probably safer for the animals, so I'm a fan. So happy to see this business thriving. We'll be back again soon! ORIGINAL REVIEW 2019 My fiance and I passed by here on our way into town, and we had to try it. The experience did not disappoint! This family-owned business combines beginner-level yoga with adorable goats. Depending on weather, class is either held outside or in a rehabilitated barn, which is basically the she-shed of my dreams. The owner instructs class and lets you make what you want of the experience - those who want to focus on their practice can follow the flow from start to finish, while those who are more interested in goats can stop for photos at any time. Class lasts one hour, allowing thirty minutes at the end to play and bond with the goats. I highly recommend this experience for a number of reasons. First, the owner is genuine, wonderful, and makes sure each participant gets the attention they need, whether it be in yoga instruction or getting a chance to hold a goat. Second, the goats are treated very well and are clean, friendly, and appear to be passionate about what they do. Third, regardless of how you feel walking into class, you will be smiling and relaxed on your way out. Original Goat Yoga is a must-do in Galena for 90 minutes of laughter, joy, and a good stretch. I can’t wait to do this again!

This review is pretty late; however, I definitely want to recommend Galena Goat Yoga to everyone. My wife and I visited in February, 2024, when it was cold out. The owner was very gracious and let us use the studio for "Coffee and Goats". The studio is similar to a cozy home, with a finished floor. It was very clean and warm. The host offered us refreshments and cookies to start plus cups of food pellets for the goats. Once the goats entered the barn, we knew immediately we had our hands full. They really liked the pellets and were extremely friendly, especially Jasper, the alpha. We had fun interacting with all the goats as each has their own personality. We both have our favorites goats now. I especially liked the demure nature of Daphne. She's beautiful! We ran around, hugged, and pet all the goats. It was really fun. The owner and daughter were really nice and answered all our goat questions. If you really want to have a unique and memorable experience, you need to check this place out!!!

Yes, Original Goat Yoga is worth the hype!!!

There were 2 groups of goats that were involved in our yoga experience. The 1st group of goats were the older goats - much more chill vibes. They were around for our yoga class. It was easy to go through the motions with these gentle giants around.

After our yoga, the gals gathered the older goats and let in the “younger” group- they were nuts! These were the goats that wanted to play! They were like big gold retriever dogs- just so friendly and full of energy!

The gals here “understood the assignment”. They are prepared and ready for photo ops! They have props for birthdays, anniversaries, bridal parties! There’s also PLENTY of time for everyone to take their photos. These photos are priceless! A goat on your back?! So fun!!

There’s lockers for all your things- mostly to keep the goats from going through them;) We brought an extra set of clothes to head to brunch after in- I wasn’t sure if goats shed hair like dogs (they kinda do but not a crazy amount).

Absolutely add this to your agenda! It’s a short drive from Galena and...
