Burns Prairie Preserve is one of Chikaming Open Land properties located on Mount Zion Road near Galien. This is a piece of property that you can get about 2 miles in end it is mostly mowed Trails Around the edge of prairies and bordered by woods. The terrain here has some rolling hills but nothing overly difficult to navigate. Word of warning right now ticks seem to be in abundance so I would highly suggest good tick prevention. This preserve us free, kid friendly, dog friendly on leash and it has small parking area. This is also one of Chikaming open lands storybook parks right now so if you have kiddos it’s a good way to mix Nature with some fun. I am guessing that the wildflowers here in the Prairie later in the summer will be stunning. There are no facilities so plan accordingly. Maps and trail guide explanation at the end...
