I am writing this after seeking successful completion of my exam at another location. I visited this location for a head MRI last week. I was visibly shaken up as I have severe medical trauma and anxiety as well as claustrophobia. When I was taken back, the gentlemen did not even introduce himself. Upon noticing my distress, he told me that he wasn’t sure I would complete the exam. I stress that this was immediate and not after any attempt to calm me. I pushed on and went into the MRI room where there was another tech. I was not communicated with, repeatedly asked and lectured about why I won’t take a sedative, and basically treated as if I was making their lives harder. They did not start the IV because they felt it a waste due to “how I was.” I was not offered headphones, earplugs, an emergency button, blankets, water….nothing. I was shown where I would be in the machine and I panicked and asked to come out. They were not willing to let me try again. As a shock to no one, I couldn’t complete the exam and those individuals clearly did not want me to. I did not feel cared about or seen. I was a problem patient and they made sure I knew it. I will not go to this location again, and if you have any trauma or anxiety, I would strongly recommend that you don’t either. I would give you names if I got them. This experience could not be more different than the experience I had at another AMI location a week later. Not at Galloway, but at another location that I had to travel for, I was cared for with the highest level of excellence and completed the exam with no sedation. For me this proves that my desire to be treated well was not out of bounds. For some reason, the people I had that day were just not willing to provide it and that’s...
Read moreI have to post this I am so upset. I took the day off of work to bring my daughter Brandy a hour away from our house to get a special MRI today. No where up where we live does this MRI so they say. We got here at 10:10 and her appointment was at 11:00 we did her paperwork and the lady at that desk asked if I could call insurance and change the place of service so I did about 5 minutes later they called us back that was about 10:45 they asked us some question and then had my daughter change into a gown right after she changed some blonde girl came out and said they did not change the place of service so I called the insurance company again they said it is changed on there end so the blonde girl went back to check about 10 minutes later she came back with the manager and said well this is the deal one of the codes was changed but the other one is not sorry we have to reschedule you no one ever said anything about two CPT codes for this service. I missed a whole day of work and a hours drive for nothing I think they should a accommodate my lose this was there fault not mine. I did everything I was supposed to when I made thIs appointment. If things was not in order someone should have had the decency to call us and let us know. I work at a Doctors office and do this everyday for my doctor's I would never do that to my patients. This does not even deserve a one star rating but that is the only way you can...
Read moreAbsolutely terrible experience at AMI Galloway today. I waited forty minutes past my appointment time to be taken back for my imaging, despite showing up even before the requested 30 minutes prior to my appointment time to fill out the paperwork and intake information. Front desk associates are rude and unkind. I had another appointment to get to and an unexpected family emergency, too, and I explained that to the employees when I arrived. I completely understand that there is only so much that they can do to accommodate, but there is no reason why I should've waited forty minutes past my scheduled appointment time. In addition to the wait, the staff was unnecessarily rude. I asked for my disc when my imaging was completed, which I was told would be ready for me at the desk, to which the front desk associate responded, "Go sit down, it'll be ready in a few minutes." I then explained that I had to leave due to my other commitments and she responded, "Fine, then come back to get it." with no attempt to even check if my disc was done before sending me out the door.
My actual technicians who handled my MRI were wonderful. I did not catch their names, but they were incredible and so kind. That is the only reason why I would even consider giving one star or returning to...
