We can't let the summer go by without giving our farmers Jen and Ryan the shout they so well deserve. We have been highly satisfied CSA members for the last 4 years, but something about this past summer was even more enjoyable than ever. Whether it was the roomy set up of the market building, or the availability of the u-Pick crops, or the satisfying assortment of vegetables that we had to choose from. It is sometimes difficult to not feel guilty at times walking away with such gorgeous produce, knowing that that they have worked incredibly hard in challenging conditions to make that happen. The deep yellow/ almost orange bell peppers that are beyond sweet when roasted, the fresh garlic bulbs that do indeed taste different than store bought, the tomatoes that reign supreme over this season that is rightfully theirs, or the chance to harvest the green beans that usually go half devoured by the time we get home: we thank you for the exceptional crops you grow. More than just the share of veggies, we look forward to the serene atmosphere that encompasses your farm. It is a place that I have brought others to visit to disconnect from the frenetic pace, phone attachment and covid -induced stress.
