Central Market — Local services in Galt

Service that goes WAY above and beyond. The new owner of this little grocery store is one of the kindest people I have ever met! We discovered that someone had punched a hole in our gas tank after we had driven to the Central Market. Bill (the Owner) insisted on carrying our case of bottled water to our car, then tried to help my husband tape up the hole in the gas tank. He told us we could leave the truck in his parking lot and the next morning the shop Nextdoor can fix it.. We were going to Uber back to where we were staying but Bill insisted on driving us. He dropped us off but insisted on carrying the case of water. We were staying at a marina on a houseboat so it is a long walk with numerous steep stairs. My family and I stopped here to grab a few items that we were missing for a BBQ on the river. When we got up to the counter to pay the lady (im assuming she was the owner) asked if we needed a bag. I replied no it's ok and then my husband proceeded to pay. After looking at our items again on the counter I asked her nicely.. "actually can I get a bag"? Her response was literally: i already asked you if you wanted a bag with a blank stare on her face?! I was so angry I just grabbed our items and left. Is this how she treats all her customers? Ive never in my life thought that a paying customer who asks for a bag was TOO MUCH to ask for! This was the rudest interaction I've ever received!! I will NEVER return to this business and will be spending my money elsewhere!...

I went in 2 days ago and i bought a Coffee as i do almost all the time when its cold. And well i wanted a honey bun which they had in-stock . and were expired on Dec 22 2018.The owner sells expired food when i told the owner he said its still edible . but its not almost all the food is expired he doesn’t want to toss it in the trash like other owners do I highly dont suggest people going. They need the health Department to go badly. Can foods are all so expired in which I showed the owner .
