This was a great camp. I did the Marine tamales with Ms. Sam and Mr. Blake as my camp counselors. They were so nice. The doors were clean and were very spacious. And the girls' and boys' rooms are separated so that's girls nor boys can or be harrased or hurt. We learned so much that it actually broke my heart that I had to leave because it was so much fun learning and making friends that I love. Not only that, but if you are 15 and older, you don't have to have a shaparon everywhere to take you'd somewhere. There's a lounge so that the girls and boys can mix on the second level. Girls are not allowed on the third floor. the canteen is wonderfully, and please treat the workers with respect. They are not just arms that serve they are people with feelings, so say yes, ma'am or no ma'am or thank you or please. Also, PLEASE ππ½ throw away your trash. we work so hard to save these animals, and you littering only brings up back to square root 1. They took us to moody gardens and got to see the behind scenes. We went to the beach and had games. We also went to the strand and got to look at shops. It was an amazing experience. And I'll be doing this again next year like I did this year. But instead I'll do the costal and ecology. And the veterinarian science, too. We also did 2 boat rides to see dolphins, and we did posters that we presented. Marine Mammals 2025 1st week.
7/5/25 Update: I also just wanted to say when I got there I wasn't so sure about how I would do, but I met great friends and at the end of the week I didn't want to leave lol. Also, for those who may not know or may have seen adverts or tik toks, no, you don't go on a boat everyday, some kids or advers have not been clear. But you do go on a boat 2 or 3 times tho and get to catch fish π and other...
Β Β Β Read moreFun and engaging overnight camp for students. My son attended fishing camp last year and made such great friends during the week that they plan to attend together this year. The students go 80 miles out on a fishing excursion and learn all about the local fish in the gulf. They also fish near the campus. The staff were always helpful and communicative so I felt like I was well informed before, during and after the camp. If you have a Scout, they can complete the fishing merit badge during this week. Truly a...
Β Β Β Read moreMy 13 year old daughter spent two weeks at Sea Camp this summer. She thoroughly enjoyed herself and reported being very busy every day. My only real complaint is that staff are VERY remiss in posting photos (only a handful posted, three or four days into the week). Other sleepaway camps manage to post photos for parents at home (who, btw, are the ones writing the checks) at least daily. Definitely something I'll keep in mind when choosing a camp for...
