Phillips Center — Local services in Gastonia

The centerpiece here at this park is the Phillips Center but that was closed today. When it's open, they host athletic programs, dances, summer camp and other events as the building houses "a full-size gymnasium, game room, kitchen and staff office."

I was here for the outside today and got to enjoy the lighted ball field, walking track and four lighted tennis courts. I spotted volleyball and bocce courts as well as a playground. The large picnic shelter is in excellent condition and is available to be reserved. Watch yourself in the dirt parking lot.
