McGee Grocery — Local services in Gate City

My experience at this place was when I was 3 and 4 years old. That was back in the late 60's and early 70's. I remember this place very vividly for some odd reason I can very well remember going there with my parents and Mr Mcgee giving me a lollipop. My parents would buy groceries on time. Generally has what you'd need for most any household chores. Their ground beef is the best in the area. They don't have the same selection as a big box stores but you do get some excellent knowledge and assistance when you shop there. The convenience of not having to trapse out to Kingsport is also a plus. The only less than optimal thing is the hours as the store is open 8-5 Monday-Friday and 8-2 on Saturday so you can't stop in after work on...

The "Yuma Mall" is the greatest! Go get your extra parts around lunch time and you can get one of the very best bolgona sandwich or ham sandwich around.
