The Resort was exceptional, and the campers we encountered there were very friendly. We made a last-minute call to request an additional night at the beginning of our stay, and the staff was exceedingly courteous and accommodating in facilitating that request. We even had a contact person since we would be arriving later than most, who we called to assist us in locating our site. The resort features a pleasant pool area and a pond designated for catch and release fishing. Additionally, there is a beach area at the end of the pond, complete with a volleyball court. It is a notably tranquil RV resort; however, we were still out later than the designated quiet hours while being respectful, and we did not receive a single complaint. During our stay over the 4th of July, the RV resort hosted an excellent band by the pool on the night of the 4th, accompanied by a parade the next day that featured numerous military veterans and other campers celebrating our freedom. The power was out for a few hours, which I could understand given the large RVs drawing full amps to stay cool in the heat, but the site kept us updated and came around once the power was restored to check if we had regained power and if everything was satisfactory. There is no WIFI available at the resort or even in South Haven, for that matter; we utilized Starlink, so it was not a concern for us. If you need to reach someone, it is advisable to call, as texting or data service in that area is quite poor. This is not an issue with the RV Resort, but rather a cautionary note for anyone planning a trip to that region in general. We would be pleased to stay there again, and the towns of South Haven and Saugatuck that we visited offered more than enough activities to keep us engaged during our stay. If you have a large RV, I am unaware of any other location in the vicinity that is both spacious and as pleasant as Sunny...
Read moreWe stayed here before in 2019 and had a nice time and at that time I left a nice review and we rescheduled for 2020. Unfortunately we had to cancel because I am an RN and was dealing with COVID and could not get out of work. We cancelled before 10 days and rescheduled , Unfortunately my husband got injured and needed surgery so we had to cancel, it was 9 days before we were set to arrive. We were told we would loose our money unless we rescheduled,so we did, and didn’t think there was going to be a problem. 7 days later they called and said since we cancelled 2 times and have never stayed there before ( not true, we were there in 2019) they were keeping our deposit money and cancelling our reservations but we were free to reschedule them and pay again. I told her you were the ones that told us to reschedule and now you are changing your story etc. After speaking to a couple different people they agreed to let us come but said if we cancelled again the money would be forfeited and we could not reschedule again. ||We really needed this trip it had been a hard couple of years. We were not treated right from the moment we got there. They were rude , but the place is very nice so we attempted to book for the following year, they kept giving me excuses as to why they couldn’t take our reservation. The rudeness just continued so we actually decided to leave early when they told us my dog couldn’t even bark a couple times when I was playing with him at 2pm in the afternoon, we will never return. We have stayed at several ownership properties that have rentals and have never been treated like this before. ||It’s really sad, this was a nice place. Not sure what happened but, if they don’t want more complaints they better get rid of the people in the office and get people who are kind and understanding. Kindness goes a long way. ||I would recommend this area but stay in a...
Read moreThis is definitely a great RV resort. We stayed in a motorhome on the small lake. All sites are big, level and concrete. The resort is very clean and nicely landscaped. The amenities are very nice and very clean. It’s also in a very good location, close to everything. They also accommodate 5th wheels and campers, which I think is a plus for a place like this. A lot of places like this are Class A only, which we do own, but I’ve always felt that was a little discriminatory, so it was a pleasure to see all types of well kept campers enjoying this lovely facility. I didn’t give it 5 stars for 2 reasons. First, there was no fenced in dog park, which is very important to us. They did say you could run your dog off leash on the opposite side of the lake, which we would not do. If your dog would chase a squirrel etc there is direct access, beyond a couple pine trees, to a very busy road. Also, they do have plans to put more sites on the other side of the lake so this area will be gone in the future. Secondly, there is no cable access to renters. We have never stayed in a place of this caliber and cable was not included. Would be willing to pay a higher rate to have it included in our stay and with cable I would have rented for a longer period of time. If those 2 things are added, I would definitely give this beautiful RV...
