The only reason I am giving two stars is because of the decency of the front desk lady. I didn’t catch her name, but she is about the only positive from our interaction. May 3rd, Josh (the blueprints drafter) came to our home to measure our home for the remodel we intend to break ground on Spring 2022. He was nice, hopeful and told us 2 weeks til we would have plans. May 26th, we called to check in as it had been 3 weeks and no phone calls had been made. Josh was rude and basically stated that he hadn’t even started cause of the other things he had going on. We chose to give him the benefit of the doubt when he said Mid June. 6/24 we called to check in and he still hadn’t started to even look at them and proceeded to say that “maybe tomorrow I’ll get to it.” 8/27 we still hadn’t heard anything so I called to talk to Tait - who is out on leave until the 7th. I spoke with their receptionist and told her everything that had been happening. She said she would talk to Josh and have him call us Friday. Today, she called us back to tell us he hadn’t even started, but wanted to apologize for his negligence. She is worried about the companies reputation. This is an employee worth keeping on your staff. Josh on the other hand- not so much. I understand busy times and deadlines HOWEVER being open, honest and up-front was probably a better choice than being a jerk.
We will not be doing business with Geneva Lumber, especially for the advertisements we’re hearing about their “drafter” on the radio. He’s rude and deflects any phone calls he doesn’t want to take. Won’t even call us back. We meet with Freeborn Lumber on Wednesday and they come highly recommended to us. Truly wanted to give small local business a shot. But can’t even get him to call us back. Their loss on a huge home...
