Georgetown Pottery — Local services in Georgetown

I found their website by accident searching for Georgetown, TX. I was impressed with their site and reviews. I ordered a couple mugs and they are gorgeous. I wondered if they would look as cool as the pictures, and they look amazing!

I called the lady at the store to ask a few questions and she was very sweet. I feel fortunate to find this shop because it's not so easy to find such beautiful pottery. I visited a few local shops around central Texas and didn't see glazes like the ones they are using. I did see some other glazes which were very cool, but I prefer some of the colors they carry....

This is the original location by the owner who started Georgetown Pottery Company in Maine , in 1972.

We stopped a couple of years ago and met the owner. Very nice person, shared “ his story” about the founding of his ceramics company.

To put this review in perspective, I am not really a big proponent of or into making pottery. However, WOW I was extremely impressed with this establishment. Amazing and very large collection of items that I have not seen anywhere else at a reasonable price. The uniqueness of items is what made the visit interesting. Not cheap but hand made here not in Asia which should count for something right. Most pieces would look great...
