Parking Fee: $5 2 miles round trip hike- moderate level Donā€™t recommend for dogs The Waterfalls Trail begins at the Main Trailhead and drops quickly down into the canyon depths to two sizable waterfalls, Cherokee and Hemlock Falls. It is approximately Ā½ mile to Cherokee Falls, and a much steeper Ā½ mile further down to Hemlock Falls. The trail includes 600 metal stair steps that can be difficult for dogs. The good part about Cloudland Canyon State Park in Georgia. Cherokee Falls was such a winter wonderland vibe. First hike of the year and so blessed to see snow on the waterfall. Boots šŸ¶ was a champ for walking all those stairs. It's such a fairytale type feel once you get to the bottom of all the stairs, in my opinion. This hike was much easier to get to than Hemlock Falls,just down from it.. Definitely go to cherokee before hemlock (trail to hemlock wore me out)

Beautiful waterfall payoff for the length. We did take our three dogs and were grateful that they are all athletic and didnā€™t mind walking on metal grate stairs. If your dog isnā€™t highly adaptable I wouldnā€™t bring them. Also anyone with knee/hip/ankle issues probably wouldnā€™t fare well...

This is a strenous hike with lots and lots of stairs 600 plus i think if i am not mistaken. Its a rewarding hike wirh the amazing view of the falls. Best time to come during weekdays and not crowded. Bring water because the climbing up is exhausting...
