Great place to go especially when you're in 4-H obviously cuz the 4-H Camp but it's a great place to go they've got a pool they got two pools actually one has a water slide and a diving board section specifically for going off the diving board only and they got the section with the waterslide we're basically all you have to do is keep out of the flow of the water slide and that's pretty simple you just don't go near the water slide and they different depths the shallowest I think is 4 feet deep I don't remember how deep is the deepest part is the lake it's not like if you just able to if your 4 feet tall and you're barely keeping your head above the water and you're walking along the bottom you just going to fall into the five foot section show me probably won't happen if you're treading water if you don't know how to tread water you're still fine because it's a gradual slope it's very gradual it's not very sudden at all unless you're going directly from the normal everyone gets to swim free swim to the diving board section where you could many possibilities of injuries there so I wouldn't recommend swimming there unless you're the one diving off the diving board or jumping off diving board whatever you want to call it for safety reasons obviously and they've got 6 rooms for cabin really great there's felt for bunks per room in the new cabins maybe three bunk beds per room in the older cabins and they've got like herpetology they've got archery to God canoeing they've got free time hey have I forgot what it was called but it's like birds study birds or something like that and they've got a lot of stuff they have Lake ecology and they have Tribal meetings which I don't think I don't know for sure if they have them for like if you're going is family or not cuz I've never gone with my family but it's a really cool place to go and they've got at least one Trail and they've got concessions they have like a gift shop type thing and not to mention the cafeteria food is amazing like the chicken alfredo oh my gosh it's so good why did I say now I'm hungry sorry about how long is this it's just like really good for the good food the chicken alfredo has mushrooms in it and I didn't even know because he can't even taste them in the only reason I noticed I know this is because I was just talkin people in my cabin and then she's like oh yeah it's got mushrooms in it and I'm my mind is blown I didn't realize I hate mushrooms and knowing that I ate mushrooms is weird to me because like I hate mushrooms looks like I ate them and didn't realize that's how freaking good at it I don't know how they make it's just so good list the only bad thing I will say about it is that they don't really have much Variety in their breakfast foods but lunch and dinner it's pretty much rape very wide...

Attended as a chaperone for my child’s elementary school overnight trip. Classes were great. Instructors were passionate and engaging. The administration was flexible and ready with activities in terms of weather changes. The food was somewhat ok. I’m not a picky eater, but hamburgers were completely inedible… I literally spit the first bite out on my plate bec it was dry and hard even though it was still warm. Nearly everyone at our table of 20 adults threw the entire burger out. Chicken tenders were decent. Scrambled eggs were definitely powdered and the bacon seemed almost raw. Cereal was a safe option. I liked that they had a simple salad bar. They ran out of certain desserts during both lunch and dinner which caused a bit of drama. But the biggest complaint was ROACHES IN THE ROOMS. Lots of them and they were big. Thankfully I didn’t see any in my room but every cabin had them and one chaperone didn’t sleep all night bec they were everywhere in her room. My toilet literally moved side to side which made my bathroom smell like sewer. And I had tiny moths in the bathroom… probably coming up from the broken toilet. I wouldn’t go back. Maintenance and menus need to be addressed before I’d consider sending my kid to...

My granddaughter and I were initially so impressed with the beauty of UGA Rock Eagle. The natural surroundings are truly lovely, and we were looking forward to a wonderful day.

However, our visit was completely spoiled by the inappropriate and frankly creepy behavior of a staff member. I noticed an overweight, older employee with a grayish-black beard staring intently at my young granddaughter. This wasn't a casual glance; he was gawking at her in a way that made both of us feel extremely uncomfortable and unsafe. I later heard a coworker refer to him as "Kevin."

This individual's behavior was unacceptable and cast a dark shadow over our entire visit. While the park itself is nice, I cannot in good conscience recommend a place where I've had such a disturbing experience with an employee, especially one who works in an environment with children. We left feeling distressed and concerned.

I hope the management addresses this issue to ensure the safety and comfort of all visitors, especially the...

Rock Eagle Mound is one of Georgia’s six ancient Indian Mounds. We had already visited the big three: Etowah, Kolomoki, and Ocmulgee Mounds. This mound is unique in that it is an effigy – a massive pile of rocks in the shape of a bird. Though called Rock Eagle, many scholars believe the bird represented is actually a buzzard or vulture – birds of significance in early Native American beliefs about death. The mound is located just north of Eatonton, GA. We walked up to the tower at the base of the effigy to get a better look. The eagle is so huge that from the ground it really looks like a shapeless pile of rocks. It’s only when you get up high that you can see the impressive figure. Making it even more impressive is when you realize it was built 1000-3000 years ago by men & women dragging these thousands of rocks in from miles away on deer skins.
