DO NOT USE THIS CONTRACTOR. In short, he is deceptive, only in it for the money, and believes his clientele to be fools. For details, keep reading: we requested natural stone edging for our driveway. A fairly simple job and we were quoted $2,400 plus the cost of stone (missed that plus part at first, came out to just under $2,900 in the end). I was shown lovely pictures of natural stone. After days of delays in getting the stone, he did the job. Immediately afterwards we noticed gouges in the stone, one was spray painted, and our lines weren't straight. We contacted him asking if there was something he could do about the quality. Instead of offering a solution, he defended his shoddy work. He claimed that you don't have any idea what's on the pallet until you open it. I get that. But out of a pallet of 60 stones, you're telling me that the other 20 looked WORSE than what he installed? He also claimed that the spray paint was chalk...even though it rained heavily the 3 days prior to him coming back out. I rubbed it and it didn't come off. The only solution he could offer was that we go out to the quarry and pick the stone ourselves. And I honestly might call his bluff on that and do it. He has zero customer service. We got an entire dry stone garden wall done by another contractor with premium soil backfilled for just a few hundred more than he was charging us to line our driveway. Lesson learned. Use Greenstone Landscaping. Far, far, far better experience. I hope you take responsibility for the quality of your work in the future and treat your customers as humans...

Roger Cooley is a Montgomery County institution. He is likely happiest picking out the perfect stone at the local quarries for his clients. In our case, however, we asked him to rescue pavers from a local driveway of a house on Whittier Blvd being torn down. We had permission from the builder, of course, so Roger and his helper went to the house and pulled up the old pavers to be re-purposed as a side-path for our house. The result was a path that I avoided and never used - to a beautiful new path that I use all the time. It's even easier to take out the...
